Our 8/18/07 Wedding at the Swan Club, Regal Bridal, Flowers by Giorgie, Reverend Deborah, Tom Varghese, Michael David Hair Salon, Andrew Hotel
Michael David Hair Salon in Roselyn: A++++++These people were an absolute godsend! Our original hairstylist cancelled on us last minute so my sister and MOH found them on a website and they were able to fit in not just myself but our entire wedding party! They were so sweet and quick to get on the job of doing hair and getting us ready for the big day! Carla did my hair, which came out fabulous! I told her what I wanted and without a photo she was able to recreate it perfectly! I told Carla I would need to get my Makeup taken care of as well since I noticed they had a makeup corner and Eddie was right on it doing my makeup while Carla was doing my hair. My makeup came out so beautiful I was getting compliments all night on how beautiful I looked! The makeup never smeared and never faded the whole night! Outside of the small shine spots but other than a little powdering or a blot and I was good to go! They were all so sweet they took care of my little antsy flower girl and offered her bagels when she was hungry and a lollypop to get her to relax. In under two hours they took care of 5 people with hair and makeup which left us with spare time to relax at the hotel suite.
Regal Bridal: A++++++
We went through regal bridal to handle all of the wedding items like photography, videography, limo and DJ (NY Nights Entertainment). Lisa the Manager was an absolute sweetheart! She was always there to answer all of my questions whether they were on a Sunday late afternoon or Friday late at night. She even called from her vacation by the pool in Pennsylvania to ensure that I was getting the answers I needed right away.
Photography & Videography: A++++++
Dan and Pierre at Regal bridal was Amazing! They arrived a whole hour early to ensure that everything was ok and was set up in seconds taking videos of everything! Their combined ideas and picture taking was fantastic to say the least! Dan was constantly taking photos three or four times of each pose just to be sure that he had a great photo. He directed the entire family so they the best possible photo could be taken each and every time. He was constantly paying attention to the lighting and sun setting and taking advantage of every shot and scene that was possibly going on in the wedding. It was rare that I had to perform an action twice for him to get a shot in. I don’t think I ever saw him without the camera in his hand snapping away or even eating.
Pierre was constantly looking for the romantic views and movements for the video. He was everywhere making sure that he was speaking with everyone to give their speeches and catching dances and special moments that you know you want to see in the video.
Regal Bridal Limos: A++++++
The limos were fantastic! They arrived on time and were so great! Richard and Arty were our drivers and were absolutely wonderful and so courteous! We had to let Richard wait a few minutes just so we can say goodbye to our guests and family and he was absolutely patient and ready to help us get all the gifts in the car. There was even a misunderstanding with the Limos and the manager worked everything out without a hitch. I would recommend them to anyone!
New York Night Entertainment: A++++++
Neil was wonderful and so full of energy throughout the whole night I swear you wondered if he ever got tired. He was great and quick to make adjustments from adding in extra wedding party guests to an extra mother daughter dance. He was on top of it all and followed up with me to make sure that everything was running smoothly. He kept the entire crowd on the floor and cheering through the whole night. All I heard that night was how much everyone had so much fun and how much they loved it.
Swan Club: A+++++++
All I have to say is WOW! Sandra (Maitre D) and Carla (DOC) did an amazing job of being on top of everything! From the moment we arrived and got out of the limo Sandra and Carla were right at the door greeting us and making sure we were taken care of. The bridal suite was ready and Carla was at my side at all times. If I was ever alone she would pop up out of no where asking me if I needed anything at all from alone time in the bridal suite to a glass of water. If I had a question she was immediately on the walkie talkie getting answers.
They were both great at making sure everything was taken care so that to my knowledge there were no snags or complications at all throughout the whole night.
At the cocktail hour Carla set up a table for me and my hubby with a plate of everything there was to eat and made sure we ate before the reception.
The hall in itself was lovely! We had such a cool and sunny day it was absolutely perfect! I couldn’t stop hearing the rave reviews from all my guests on how they saw the photos but never could have believed it would have been this beautiful!
The Andrew Hotel A+++
I reserved this hotel and it had mixed reviews so I was honestly nervous on the service but they did a great job taking care of the guests and their needs. While their dining area needs some work it was a wonderful stay and a lovely swank hotel. Club music played throughout the hotel giving it a chic Manhattan feel. The rooms all had plasma Tv’s and the beds were so comfortable! We honestly didn’t want to leave. Their wedding package turn down service was fantastic! The entire floor was covered in rose petals. On the bed was a rose petal design of a heart on the table chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. Since we blocked the rooms with the hotel they offered us the wedding package for free and suite for the same rate as the regular rooms.
Rev. Deborah Stanley: A++++++
All I have to say is … she did it again! Another Fabulous job by the lovely Rev. Deb! She was so wonderful and helpful! All I kept hearing was how fantastic the readings were, how the vows were unique and sentimental, She truly knows how to make the ceremony your own and not just the normal cookie cutter I do’s. The whole ceremony was in tears on how lovely the ceremony was (even the groom!) .
Flowers by Giorgie: A++++++
This was a local florist in my neighborhood in queens and at the last minute I gave up on my DIY centerpieces and ran with them. Since I was getting my bouquets from them they offered to do the centerpieces at half their normal price! They arrived right on time and the flowers were absolutely lovely! I couldn’t believe it that a local flower store was turning out designs that could rival those who actually specialize in weddings! The owner of the store drove and delivered the flowers himself just to make sure that they got they on time and intact! They flowers were fresh and in full bloom. Everyone was fighting to take a centerpiece home. I had to pull the bride card out just to make sure I got one!
Tom Varghese: A++++++
Here is another wonderful very popular liweddings.com vendor that has done it again! Ok we had to reschedule the honeymoon due to the class five hurricane Dean storming through Jamaica but Tom called me one day before my wedding and through my tears and heartbreak he was ever so professional and ready to find new estimates and options for my honeymoon. He was completely honest through it all and got us rescheduled without any extra fees or charges! While I am still hurt by not having the Jamaican honeymoon right after the wedding this in no way translates to Tom’s professional demeanor or willingness to get he job done at the best possible rate and quality for his clients.
However Dean is stricken from the list of possible baby names in my book.

For anyone and everyone planning or having their wedding at the swan club you truly have nothing to worry about. I was terrified because they were not that many reviews on it but they did everything to make the wedding absolutely perfect!
