Our August 2, 2008 Wedding! Tons pro pics by Duet in album! St.Patrick's Church, Argyle Lake, The Bayview House and more!

We had the absolute best time at our wedding!!
I never posted on here but always looked at the review as a form of research!! I posted a ton of pics- all from Duet- in my album!!!
Here's just a brief review of our day!
Enjoy!

Photographer: DUET Alberto and Nick A++++++
What a great team!!! They were so kind and unobtrusive... All the pics in my album are from them and we thought they did a wonderful job!!!

Hair and Makeup:
Maria D'Leon A+++++
Definitely costly but totally worth it! Not only is she so talented, but very kind and calming to have on your day!!! We loved her!!!

Flowers:
Our bouquets: Blossom Heath- Oceanside, NY
At first they were terrible!! My sister (MOH) threw everything in the car and went there and had her redo everything right in front of her!!! They turned out great! Thank goodness for my MOH!!!

In the Church: White Iris- Babylon, NY A+
Beautiful!!!!!! and they transfered my flowers from the church to the reception hall and placed them along the banister for no extra charge!!

Centerpieces: Flower Michele!!!! A+++++
My favorite vendor!
Absolutely beautiful, great to work with!!!! definite recommendation!!!

Pictures:
Argyle Lake... Beautiful backdrop and so close and convenient!!

St.Patrick's Church- Bayshore, NY
This is such a beautiful church! Everything was great here! Father Gregory Breen was so kind and made us very comfortable from our first meeting with him...

We pulled away from the church in my brother in law's 1972 (year?) caddy convertible... complete with the vintage 'just married' sign and tin cans... It added a nice touch to the ceremony and our guests really enjoyed this part!!! We did too!!!!

Reception:
Captain Bill's The Bayview House A++++++++
My husband and I are big boaters and fire island goers- so we knew right away that this was the location for us!! The room is beautiful!!! and the view of boats and the great south bay is perfect!!!!
Food was delicious and the service was excellent!!
The cocktail hour was on the back deck and we hired a steel drum band (Jambalasi) and they were fantastic!!! It really got the party going and created the atmosphere we wanted!!

DJ and Lighting'
Hank Lane More Than Music- A+++++++++
They were wonderful!! Played everything that we asked for and had the dance floor packed all night!

Cake:
Black Forest Bakery A
I wanted a funky cake and it was great- complete with confetti cake!!! But the bottom was supposed to be a different color with polka dots and the bow on top was supposed to be multi color...

Dress:
Wedding Salon of Manhasset A
I loved my dress!!!!! All of the fittings were fine and went really well....
They just never put a string or something on the bottom of my dress so I could hold it before bustling it... Not a big deal but because it had rained in the morning I was walking around holding the bottom of my dress!

Tuxes:
Advance Formal Wear RVC, NY A++++++
Tuxes were great and great service!

Limos:
Cruise Control- Lindenhurst, NY A
No problems here...

Candy Cart at the end of the night... A
Sweets From Heaven, Walt Whitman Mall
The candy was great!!

At the end of the night we jumped on a ferry right outside Captain Bill's with about 30 of our friends/family and took it to Kismet, Fire Island. We walked right into the bar in our wedding attire and continued the party!!! We rented a house there where we partied some more and had a big beach day on Sunday!!! The boat ride over was one of the best parts of the evening and everyone really enjoyed the after party... My husband and I got bracelets for everyone at the bar so they could continue drinking.....

We had such a wonderful day and everything went well!!!! We wish we could do it again!!!
Sorry the review is so short but if you have any questions let me know!!!
