Our wedding day was simply the most amazing day ever. The weather was sunny and 70 with a slight breeze, we honestly could not have asked for a better day. With the exception of one, all of our vendors were amazing as well! Everyone is still calling us and saying how great the wedding was, how we had so many persoanl touches, etc. and that it was the best wedding (by far) that they had ever been too.

Makeup: Oksana (A+)
We used Oksana for me, my mom, and 2 of my girls. Oksana was simply amazing as we all know. She was sweet and funny and really fun to use on the big day. She sat with us and ate and we all felt so comfy having her there with us, like part of my family. I would also like to say that she was beyond patient with us. There was at least 45mins when she was downstairs waiting to finish us while we were upstairs getting dressed. She was beyond patient with all of us. I know that many members of my bridal party will be using her again in the future. Simply cannot say enough.

Hair: Jessica from Phillip Michael Salon, Wantagh (A+)
My advice here would be to go with your gut instinct at all times. Jess and her sister have been cutting my hair for about 1/2 my life. I decided though to venture out and try 'real wedding hair people'. I had 2 trials with people who are well known here and they turned out to be unprofessional and a nightmare. One was over an hour late to my trial and acted like it did not matter. One put about 3 bobby-pins in my hair and then took it all down out of nowhere so I had nothing left to even show anyone back at home. FM if you want their names.
So, I decided to have a trial w/ Jessica and I am so happy I did. She was amazing, she knows my hair, and she did 100% what I wanted. She also did my Moms hair as well and Mom was very happy. In the end I wish I just used her from the start and not wasted all my time and money with the others, but now I know better in the future.

Ceremony: St. Rose of Lima, Massapequa (A+):
We were lucky and blessed the have Father Andrezej marry us that day. I am in awe of this man, he has this amazing way of grabbing the listener and making you hang on every word that he says. You can imagine how happy we were when he said he would be honored to marry us. Father A was amazing and made us feel so comfortable and at ease. He even joked around with us. His homily was amazing and people are raving about him to us and wanting to know exaclty who he is. A lot of people in my family who are not religious at all have come to me to say that he makes them feel like going to church every weel just to hear him speak and that he is inspirational. We are truly honored that we married us. It was the perfect ceremony.

Reception: Woodbury Country Club (A+ until the last 30mins)
We booked the WCC becaue of their great reputation and amazing grounds. I was so overjoyed that we had such a great day so that everyone was able to stroll the grounds and enjoy the outdoor cocktail hour! It was picture perfect and everyone was saying so. The WCC was terrific to deal with. My bridal attendant Jessica was the best! She was sweet and thoughtful and she even stole us away from everyone about 20mins before being introduced to 'feed us'. She brought us a ton of food an covered us so we wouldnt get anything on our clothes and then she locked us away to eat and have some alone time. That was actually one of my most favorite memories of the entire night. I loved that alone time and it felt amazing.
My only complaint (and I hate to complain because the WCC was so great) was how we were handled at the end when the guests left. We had a huge room full of stuff that had to be carried upstairs to the limos and my banquet manager and the staff did not help me, nor did I see them at all. I saw a ton of staff inside the room breaking the room down who passed by me without a word or any help as I struggled in my huge gown to carry stuff up and down. I felt dropped totally by the staff at the end and it would have been nice to have any amazing service carried over until we walked out of the hall and into the limo.
I would still highly suggest the WCC however, because the food was amazing and the service up until the end were great. I also still cannot get over the grounds and think it is truly a gem.

Photo/Video: Duet (A+ thus far)
We used them for photo and video. We were very pleased with our engagement photos and their service thus far. I have yet to get my proofs back so I cannot comment on that so far. They have always been polite and professional with us in our dealings with them. I honestly forget that they were there after about an hour, and that is hard being there were a ton of them LOL.

Mom and Bridesmaid Dress: Bridal Reflections Massapequa (A and F):
I have mixed feelings about this vendor. They receive an 'A' when shopping for and picking out the dresses and an 'A' up until the last fitting day.
That is where it went downhill for my Mom and my girls and I then change over to a 'F'. On the last fitting day, they pretty much rush you like crazy to try the dress on, then they try to talk you into thinking the dress looks fine, and they want you out the door we all felt. The service rapidly declined at that part we all felt. One seemstress and manager were also very rude to one of my girls saying she had 'odd shoulders' etc in front of a store-full of people and saying comments like that that were totally out of line. One manager then even said she would 'refuse to help us and we can just take the dresses and go'. Very unprofessional in our opinions. I do not know if I would go there again or not to be honest. I may buy the dress there but not alter it there.

Dress: Lynbrook Bridal Sunrise Highway (A+)
I would never have thought I would get my dress there. I went there to try on a different dress, but fell in love with a new one. The staff there was amazing. I had 5 fittings and there were polite and sweet to me and my Mom every single time. This place is nothing to look at from the outside at all, but wow was I shocked at the service I received. I would highly suggest more people check them out.

Limos: Royalty (A+)
Royalty and our drivers were awesome. All the drivers were so sweet and nice to us. They all arrived earlier then needed and just said they wanted to make sure they were on time and ready when we needed them. All the cars were very clean and neat inside. The driver of my rolls was amazing, very patient and walked me through everything and made us feel at ease. My Mom had a ton of questions for him and he even made my Mom calm LOL. We hired cars to bring both sets of parents back and forth during the day as well and those drivers were beyond nice and they even upgraded their town cars to limos at the end of the evening. Top notch vendor.

Flowers: LA Blossom (A+)
What can I say about Laurie that has not been said before? She is an amazing person and artist in her field. I had one idea walking into my first meeting with her and she turned me on to something else (hard to do as I am stubborn). I received so many compliments about our amazing centerpieces. Everything she did was amazing: the BKs, the church pieces, the cake, the centerpieces. All looked 100% as we planned them together. The delivery people were very nice and patient as I sorted through everything at my home. Again, top notch.

DJ: T0mmys Tunes (F)
This is the vendor that shocked us all. We interviewed a few DJs and decided to go with T0mmy Tunes because of their amazing reputation. I am highly disappointed in this vendor. Everything seemed fine at our first meeting and we booked them and signed the contract. I tried several times to put a request in for the DJ and MC and was denied many times saying that I had to wait. I told them that I know many people who are using or did use them and they have their requests in. They brushed me off a few times with an explanation. We now get to 2 weeks before the wedding and they wanted our song selections, etc faxed to them. I called them and said we rather come in to talk it all out and bring the papers then. Fine. We meet with the owner T0mmy and spent about an hour going through it all and we even gave them copies of everything with the songs, etc. Well that day I again try to put a request in and find out who we have and they brushed me off again. It wasnt until 2 days before our wedding that we found out who the DJ and MC were and thats only because my husband called them to find out. Now we get to our wedding day, one of the people they told us was coming was not there and they gave us someone else! We also found them to be very rude. I walked over to say helllo and introduce mysefl and they seemed to really care less. I had a few suprised for my husband during the night and asked to speak to one of them on the side and that person had no clue what I was even talkign about. I asked them if they had my papers and he said 'its over there somewhere'. My husband then told one of them that we are to dance our song alone and reminded him of the song and that T0mmy should have the cd we gave them with the song on it. They brushed us off and said yeah yeah yeah, we have it, we have it. Well our first dance comes and they play the wrong song! My husband walked over to them and picked up the cd we had given T0mmy and gave it to them to play it asap.
Later on that night, they were suppose to play a dedication from me to husband. Well, we are sitting at dinner and I hear it being played. I tell husband that was suppose to be dedicated to him and we just got up and danced to it b.c he felt so bad. The DJ then sees us dancing alone in the middle of the dancefloor about 2mins into the song and then dedicates it.
From that point on, since they made so many errors, we decided that we has to remind them about every thing that was coming up which is uncalled for when dealing with a 'professional'. Keep in mind we went through all of it in an hour meeting.
The MC approached me later about throwing my BK, I told him I was not throwing it but giving it to my Mother, he said 'you are???'. I then grabbed my FH and walked him to the DJ booth and showed everyone how the papers say that and its right in front of there faces and they didnt even read any of it!
They also did not play about 30% of the songs we requested. It was not do to lack of time either, because they played a ton of lame songs during the night than nobody even knew how to dance too. It was a total nightmare dealing with them and I am honeslty very upset about how this company that has such a great reputation was a total let down to be honest. And yes we told someone there how we feel and they had no repsonse to us at all.
PS: they also lost an import cd that my husband loaned them that day as well, not too happy about that as it is in import and pretty much priceless


Trumpets: Royal Brass (A+)
These guys are great. Everyone thought it was such a special and romantic touch to the church ceremony. We had them play outside on the way in and out and also during the ceremony. We dealt with Roger. The company is very professional and they even dealt directly with the music director at my church. I never even had to tell them songs or anything which was one less thing for me to do. I wish I got to thank them more in person but we were so busy outside the church, but they really did a fantastic job and are truly a class-act in every aspect from start to finish!

you looked gorgeous!! Great review- I'm so sorry about your experience with TT- you should make a complaint to the BBB because the service was unnacceptable. at least try and get some of your money back.

Thanks and like I said I really HATE to post anything negative about the WCC because they truly are top-notch in my eyes. You will love them, just speak up if the same happens to you at the end of the night. People were raving and still are about how wonderful the place is.

Congratulations! It seemed like you had a wonderful day besides the DJ situation. You should be compensated in some way, you did have an hour meeting with them to give instructions about you music.
