Royalton- added some prof. pics at royalton
Hi, my daughter got married at the Royalton on October 6th. It turned out to be a beautiful day no rain thank goodness. Anyway here is my opinion of some of our vendors. The Royalton A+ – The Food was extraordinary. Everyone loved everything they tasted. Some of our stations were a mashed potato station, a paella station, an Italian station, ( the lobster ravioli to die for), an Asian station with Thai chicken in lettuce wraps, Peking duck in wraps, lomein and beef and veggies. The passed hors’derves were also fantastic especially the baby lamb chops, sushi, scallops in bacon, coconut shrimp just to mention a few. The service was impeccable. Michelle was my daughter’s bridal attendant and she really was a mind reader, knew her every move before she even made it. Brought her water before she asked for it and was there without being obtrusive. There were a couple of things that I felt should not have happened but in the entire scheme of the day it was not horrible. One of the things that bothered me was the fact that they were showing the place to others while we were taking pictures in the lobby area. Also in hindsight I probably would not have had it during the day because I felt that dessert was served to early which usually means the end of a party and therefore felt rushed in that aspect. When I have to do it again for my other daughter I would really like a twilight wedding. This way you get the best of daytime pics and night time partying. This again is JMO. Otherwise everything about this place is fantastic and would recommend it to anyone thinking of having it here.
Florist – Spitz and Peck A+ – The flowers were spectacular and Maddy was great to work with. She really knew my daughter wanted and everyone just were in awe of the flowers.
Ceremony & CH Music: Kings Brass: We had a harpist, flute and cello player . They made a mistake by not changing the music for the bride. Communication with the actual playerswas impossible so maybe that is why. Otherwise they were very good
Music – Bravura B – What they played was great but it seems that when we met with them for our last meeting we met with one of the DJ’s that we learned at the end of our meeting was not going to be doing her wedding. He assured us that he would communicate with the other DJ and the rest of the group. We also had a sax player who was great, a percussionist and Paul who sang and played the keyboard. Pauls voice is just magic. Anyway because there was no communication they didn’t play the way my daughter wanted. She wanted the ethnic songs first to get the party started and it seems we had to remind them a few time of that plus other things as well. I would make sure no matter what company you use that you at that last meeting you meet with the actual DJ or person or persons that will be at your party.
Photography A++++++++++++: Personal Touch in Bellmore on Merrick Road. Chip and his wife, another photographer and a video person were absolutely amazing. They seemed to be all over taking picture after picture without being in anyone’s way. I also had a guest book for her that had a place for pictures and they brought a digital computer and printer and put them in the book that people signed. Everyone loved it. They are really fantastic to work with plus they do GREAT work.
Tuxedo: Feldman’s in Merrick on Merrick Road. Also great to work with and have a great selection.
Dresses: A+++ MOB – I found my dress at Moonlight Couture but purchased it by Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills. Phyllis was great to work with and the alterations on my dress, the bridesmaid’s dresses and the brides dress came out great. The bridesmaids also bought their dresses there. My daughter bought her dress at Bridal couture in Manhasset. When we went to look at dresses the designer Eugenia was there. My daughter loved the top of one dress and the bottom of another dress and so she made one dress out of those two different designs. We did bring it to Phyllis to have it altered.
Limos- Royalty A. They were on time and the limos were clean. Our driver wasn’t the friendliest but he got us there on time.
Printing of programs, menus and donation plaques Sir Speedy on Jericho Turnpike in Minneola across from Jericho Terrace.
I can’t think of any other vendors but if you have any questions FM me. I don't know how to import pics sorry If someone can tell me I will do it. I tried but wont show.
