I am not too frequent of a poster, but I got a ton of advice from the ladies on this site. I found LIW to be really helpful. I am really thankful for all of the advice and past reviews. I had a beautiful wedding day with really great vendors. I would recommend all of them and I hope this can help some future brides!!

Weather A++++++++

How I got a 65 degree day in November is beyond me, it was gorgeous! It was sunny and warm most of the day. AMAZING!!

Hair and Makeup A+++++

Done by family and friends and I felt so beautiful the day of my wedding. We had two people doing hair and one makeup. With 9 women and two Flowergirls, we got started at 8am, and everyone was ready by 11:30. They were awesome and I’m so glad that it all worked out!

Flowers by Burton A++++++

I loved my flowers the day of. My bouquets were gorgeous. I carried the same flowers that my bridesmaids had. We all had red and orange roses with burgundy calla lilies and ivy. When I picked my flowers, I brought in several pictures and they came out great! They looked beautiful with the dresses. I also shared flowers with another bride at my church and they were gorgeous too. They made us pew bows and potted arrangements for the altar. I had no problems with Burtons, I was very happy I picked them.


Dress and Veil-Priscilla of Boston A+++++++

I went to Priscilla to try on a Melissa Sweet gown, and HATED it on me. But Chrissy (my consultant) kept pulling dresses and in about an hour I had completely changed my mind as to what I wanted. She showed me so many different kinds of dresses and because of her I found “the one” I went in thinking I wanted a simple lace gown, and left with a trumpet satin gown. I fell in love with my dress and couldn’t have anything else. I kept looking but it was no use! Josephine did my alterations and they were perfect. I had 3 fittings and each time, what she had changed was perfect. Because of the close fit of my gown, I was pretty picky about it and she was amazing. I got my veil here as well. It was a cathedral length with Satin Trim. It was perfect with my dress. They also made me a small blusher for the church. Totally recommend them, my dress was pricey, but the service is totally worth it. I was treated so well and was so incredibly happy with my gown. It was #2959 and designed by Priscilla of Boston.

BM Dresses-Commack Wedding Center-A

I have ordered dresses for weddings that I’ve been in here before. I went here looking with my BMs and found the perfect dress. My BMs are all different shapes and sizes and they all looked great in the dress. It’s WToo #880 in Pomegranate. The dresses looked great they day of. I know other brides have expressed problems with the pickups falling out as the night went on in similar dresses. This didn’t happen to any of my BMs. The dresses looked great all night. My sister (MOH) and my SIL both got their dresses altered here and they were happy with them. The other BMs went elsewhere and paid about the same. I had one BM from out of town and CWC handled the shipping and everything. The price was great too. I was looking for a great dress for a good price since I know they won’t wear them again, and CWC is good for that. That’s why CWC is getting an A and not an A+, their service isn’t the best.

Invitations-CWC-A

My invites were gorgeous! We did the Tuxedo/Invite Package and that saved us a good amount of money. We were very happy with both!

The invite/tux package is as follows: If you order your invites at full price and rent at least 6 tuxes (other than the groom, because he’s free) you get a $200.00 check when all the tuxes are received. I picked up my check the other day, and had no problems.

Tuxes-CWC-A

As stated above, we got our tuxes here because of the package. We were a little worried since I didn’t know anyone who had used them before, but I have to say, they were great. All the tuxes came in right and if there was a problem, it was fixed right there. A few guys needed a different jacket or pants, but CWC had extras in stock. They looked great the day of and again, the price was great! I would definitely recommend this package.

Barron’s-A

I got my hair pins and two tiaras for my flower girls here. They were decently priced and I loved my pins and the girls looked so cute with their tiaras!

Shoes-A

I got them from a store in Patchogue. I don’t remember the name, but it was a pretty easy pick for me. I also got them dyed at Craft Shoes in Commack. It came out good, but when I was there the lady kept trying to sell me on other stuff and that just annoys me. But they matched my dress perfectly, and that’s all I could really ask for.

Alexis Limo—A+++++

They were great!! My friends booked them for my bachelorette also. For my bachelorette we had Bill as our driver and he was great! The day of the wedding, we got a Rolls Royce and two 10 passenger Cadillacs. Each car was on time, if not early. Bill drove the Rolls for us the day of and he is such a sweetheart! I don’t know the names of the other two drivers, but I can tell you that they were great! They were fixing all of the groomsmen’s ties as they walked down the aisle in the church. They were so professional and more importantly kind! I would highly recommend them.

Photos-Proline-A+ (no proofs yet, hopefully I’ll add more +’s)

We had Anthony as our photographer and he was great. We wouldn’t book with proline until we met with the photographer and we liked him from the start. The day of he was great. He was very friendly and very professional. He taught me how to stand like celebrities do on the red carpet! He was also really great with all of my family and bridal party. One of my BMs told me last night that she kissed him on the way out because she felt like he was one of us the day of. He was with me for almost 12 hours and during the ceremony and pics in between and the reception he was constantly making sure that there weren’t any other pics that we wanted. He had a great personality, I was really worried that after 12 hours of someone, I’d want to kill him, but it was totally the opposite. He was patient with us and worked on our schedule. He had some great ideas for pictures and its torture now waiting for them…I can’t wait to see the pics.

Sts. Philip and James-A++

I grew up in this church and I can’t really rate it, just weird! But we did pre-cana here as well and it was a great experience. The rehearsal and ceremony went beautifully. We got married by a Deacon and he was great. I went to school with his daughter and he made our ceremony very personal.

Rehearsal Dinner-Garden Grill A++

We had a great rehearsal dinner. The food was great. We had the beer and wine option and they kept bringing in new bottles of wine and pitchers of beer. There were 5 dinner choices and a salad and dessert. We held ours the night before the wedding, but it all went great and it was a great kick off to the wedding. Luckily, my DH’s friends and my friends have all become one big group, so they were getting us pumped for the next day. It was a blast!!

BM and Groomsmen Gifts

Omaha Steaks-A++

My DH got all of his groomsmen and our readers steaks from Omaha Steaks. He got each one a different package and they were delivered to them the week after our wedding. Everyone got them and some have already had them. They said they are great!

Violet’s Blue, Aldo, Bath and Body Works A+

I got my MOH a bracelet from violet’s blue and my BM’s earrings and a bracelet. My sister (MOH) really wanted a specific bracelet from VB and it just so happened it matched the dresses perfectly. I got the BMs something different. I also got my day of jewelry here! I love their stuff!!! I got them little cocktail purses from Aldo and lotions and lip glosses from Bath and Body. My mom got us all pashminas somewhere in the city for the day of. I didn’t even use mine since it was so warm, but I know the BMs were happy to have them when it got a little windy during pictures.

Three Village Inn-A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I cannot even begin to describe how great they were. I really wish that more people would look at the 3VI for their wedding. My DH and I were looking for a non wedding hall location. I had always wanted a destination wedding and he wanted a local wedding. We wanted to originally go to the Vineyards, but most of them are outdoors and I just don’t trust weather enough to plan an outdoor wedding. So we started looking at smaller places and fell in love with 3VI.

Chrissy was our coordinator and she was amazing. From the day we sat down with her to first look at 3VI, to signing the contract to all the details up until the wedding, she always made sure that we were happy. We were able to combine their wedding packages to come up with a menu that we were happy with. Any concern we had, she took care of. I probably called her 100 times in the two weeks before our wedding and each time, she was friendly and helpful. If I left her a message, I got a call back that day!

We also loved 3VI, because their rooms were gorgeous. It had a small wedding feel, when we had 140 people there. Everyone told us how intimate our wedding was. People have been raving about the food. The day of, they pulled us into the room to make sure we were happy with the setup. (We had a band and were concerned about them taking up too much room on the dance floor.) We had a room at the Inn included in our package, and breakfast the next morning. We were able to have breakfast with the guests that stayed at the Inn and everyone was so great. The next morning, the staff was still congratulating us as we walked around…we were treated so well!

One thing that we loved about the 3VI is that they included candelabras in their wedding package. We didn’t get flower centerpieces; instead we had 5 candles, candelabras! They were gorgeous and set such a romantic tone in our room! We could not believe our eyes when we walked in! Not only did this save us money, but I prefer candles! So it was perfect!

Band-Rhapsody A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

THEY WERE AMAZING!!!! If you are looking for a band, go see them! We originally wanted Code Blue, another band run by Skyline Orchestras and they were booked on our day. So we went to see Rhapsody and they were fabulous!! They had the dance floor busy all night long. They played several requested songs like Tupelo Honey by Van Morrison, I Go to Rio by Peter Allen, American Girl by Tom Petty, they played some 80s songs because we said we like them. They played Barry White and No Doubt. They sang Let’s Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez and Dancing Queen by Abba and honestly, they sounded amazing on all of it!!! From the goodbye’s at my wedding, to the people I spoke to the next day, to people calling my parents and my FIL and MIL, the one consistent compliment is that the band was amazing! Everyone was impressed by them.

My wedding ended with a song that I requested for my DH. I called Charlie the band leader a few months before the wedding and requested that they play Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again” as a surprise from me to him. My DH and his college friends have a long history with this song and they nailed it!! Everyone was on the dance floor, I’m not kidding, everyone! It was so much fun and they really are the reason why! They played a really wide variety of music and sounded amazing on all of it!!

I am so happy we ended up with Rhapsody! I know I’ve said this over and over, but they were unreal!

Room Block-Danfords A+

We held our room block at Danfords. Some of our guests opted to stay at 3VI for convenience. We had about 10 rooms at each location. My DH stayed there the night before the wedding and said he had a nice room. Our guests said they loved it since it was right on the water and in Port Jeff.

Favors and OOT Gift Bags-Me!

My bridesmaids and I made all the favors. We had little boxes of Ghirardelli chocolate wrapped with a red or black bow. Candy sticks with favor tags from myweddinglabels.com and tic tacs with labels from myjeanm.com. So easy to do and I spent about ½ the price doing it myself.

I made my OOT bags as well. My DH and I just went to BJ’s and got bags of goldfish, chex mix, cookies, animal crackers and bottles of water. I also included a newsletter with information about the wedding that I made myself. They were really cute!

Congrats! I love the Three Village Inn - FH and I go there for Valentine's Day every year. We would have gotten married there if we were having less people.

The band Rhapsody is EXCELLENT!! I went to a wedding in July and they were the band for that wedding and they were amazing. Best band I have seen yet.
