RECEPTION HALL
Woodbury Country Club: A++++
The staff was wonderful, very attentive; anything I asked for I got without hesitation. And the food was sooooo good! Everyone went on about how much they enjoyed the food from the cocktail hour to the viennese. And I really liked that the viennese hour was laid out in the back of the room and not on the dance floor so there was no interruption in the party.

And the cake was amazing!!!!! Woodbury CC uses Dortoni's, one of my favorite bakeries

MUSIC
Lorenzo Laroc: A+++++
Lorenzo is a electric violinist that we used for our cocktail hour music. He was on fire and completely rocked the party!

Heart & Soul: A++++++
They had the dance floor hopping all night long! We couldn't have been happier with them. The only thing was one of the band members changed and they didn't notify us, but it was fine.

FLOWERS
Designs by Rose: A+++++++++++++++++++++++
Rose & Doris are awesome to work with. They worked with my budget and went over things with me very logically which I really needed because flowers was the one area I seemed to get crazy with. The week before the wedding my tables changed and we had to redo the entire layout, they handled it with calm cool rationally and everything ended up perfect!

B]PLACE CARDS

I worked with Maria, who is a sweetheart; I had her make chocolate covered apples as my place cards/favors. Everyone loved them. That was a brilliant idea another LIW bride had that I used

MAKE UP
Prima Dona A++++++++++++
Donna was great, she works out of 2 salons, one in Great Neck and the other in Plainview. She even got my mother to wax her eyebrows! A historical moment for moms.

CARD BOX
For The Modern Bride B+
I found them on eBay; at first I was a little hesitant using them because the samples were larger and flashy then I wanted. After contact them I degined something smaller and more demure; I didn't know what to expect as she doesn't send you pics of samples but I was very happy with her work.

CHAIR COVERS
Table Wear A++++
Donna was very nice, I also found this vendor from another LIW Bride; Woodbury has larger chairs than most vendors and her covers worked for them. I used Ivory covers w/chocolate brown sashes. They really made a huge difference in the room.

INVITATIONS
Dimola Printing Shop A+++++++++++++++
Bruce was extremely helpful in picking from the thousands of choices there were; he made what could have been a painful process very simple.

HONEYMOON
NCL Pride of America Hawain Island Cruise B-
okay, so NCL couldn't help the fact the the Islands got hit with largest storm in years; so the swelling seas did put a damper on our Island hoping but we did have a great time despite the weather. I've been on a lot of cruises and I wasn't crazy about the freestyle dining; or more directly the types of restaurants and the food offered. We will still cruise in the future but we prefer different cruise line.

Continental Airlines A++++++
10 hour flight flew by in first class.

We made a donation to Susan Komen Fight for Breast Cancer instead of giving out traditional favors.

hi thanks for your review--i am using heart and soul and i know that michael is gone....he is on my contract and i keep calling Frank wayne and he said he 'may still come' to some weddings...

You had some great ideas! Would love to see pics of the chocolate covered apples! I am thinking of doing donations as well and was wondering if you could tell me how you presented that the donation was made to your guests?
