The 'Long Awaited Review' 7/31-Jericho Terrace, Twice as Good, Flowers by Brian...
So first let me apologize for the tardiness of this review. After the honeymoon, I was looking for a job, and then got busy when I accepted two! But here it goes…..LIW-a billion!!!!!!!
You girls are geniuses. That’s what I tell all brides-to –be. My wedding wouldn’t have been HALF as beautiful, if I wasn’t on this site. Plus, you girls make me smile a lot!!
Hair-10
As some of you know, I am a makeup artist (if your counting jobs, that makes three!) The girl who did my hair, Kathy, is a girl I often go on jobs with, and I felt more comfortable with her than a stranger at a salon.
Makeup-???
Grade myself…you must be joking!! I did my mothers and my MOH, and only left 10 min for my own face, so my BM helped me. In hindsight, I would have hired someone, to take the stress off myself, but you can judge for yourself!
Dress, veil, alterations-10
Lydia’s Bridal-Copiague…I recommend this store to anyone who wants a place with no attitude problems. The girls were super easy to work with, and gave suggestions without being too opinionated. Everything was ordered with plenty of time, and they didn’t try to make me order 1 size bigger “just in case”. (Impressions bridal)
BM dresses-10
The wedding Center… they were fine, everything came in right, and on time. Only one of my girls got alterations there, because the other two live in Queens. (Mori Lee)
MOB dress-10
RK Bridal…They were great, and they had to rush it, because she took a long time to make a decision. The price was considerably less than other stores. (Montage)
Headpiece-10
Barrons….fantastic, just what I was looking for. Why pay $200, when you can pay $80??? (And I’m really getting my money’s worth, cause I wear it while I vacuum!!)
Limos-10
Royalty Limos…excellent service, great prices. Just watch out, because when you order an old car (we had the rolls) they tell you its air conditioned, but it’s really like a sad stream of sort of cold air, and it was July. I was a melting bride! But thank god for my driver, b/c he was the only one who remembered to put my veil over my face, 2 min before I went down the aisle!!
Flowers-10
Flowers by Brian…I can’t say enough great things about them. Cindy was great to work with, and she gave me a lot of great suggestions that I wouldn’t have thought of myself. Everything arrived on time and fresh, and I have never seen flowers of such quality before! My family is still commenting about them.
DJ/Invitaions-10
Twice as Good Wedding Center…they were fantastic!!! They are old family friends, but I’m not biased. They kept the party going, and I’m really glad we splurged and got the tv screen and digital photographer. He took live shots, and during dinner, they played a montage of baby and dating pics. Everyone said it was a really nice touch. Another thing that they were great about was playing a song that I sang and recorded as a surprise to Jason. The invitations were perfect!
Photographer/Vodepgrapher-pending
Glenmar in Roslyn
This is the other reason I held out on the review. I have a lot of issues with some of the pictures. There are just a lot of traditional shots that were not taken. Some examples: there are no full length shots of me from the front, or Jay and I full length together. There are no posed shots of Jay alone. There is no posed shot of Jay and his only grandmother. All of the pictures of the bp walking down the aisle, including the one of me and my dad are only waist up. I went to them to talk it over this week, and they were very agreeable. They are going to do a studio shoot of the 2 of us, and hopefully take off the money for hair, tux, and flowers. I am still waiting to hear the end result. Let me say some good things, though. They were on time, prepared, and the quality of the pictures he took were great. I had 2 photographers, and the price was right. They have been in business for 50 years, and their albums are amazing, so I’m sure it will work out. I’ll keep you posted, unfortunately I have no proofs to show you, because they don’t have a website with a link, and they wont give me a disk.
Jericho Terrace-10 10 10 10 10 10
I have nothing bad to say!! It was perfect, from beginning to end. It wasn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for! Anna was our BM, and she was organized and easy to work with. We were in the dome room, w/ deluxe menu, chair covers and bows. The setup was perfect. They opened the cocktail hour early for us, and Jay and I went down for a little while. It became too much for me to hold my dress, so they brought trays of food up, in addition to the chafing dishes that were already up there. The maitre’d, Al, and the 2 bridal attendants, were so attentive and helpful, and the food was outrageous. My parents kept getting calls for weeks after the wedding raving about everything. It was everything we had hoped for.
The Wyndham hotel-10
We got the bridal suite, and the minute they heard wedding night, they gave us a discount. The suite was lovely. Save your money on that “other” well known hotel in Nassau, and go here!!
Honeymoon-10
El Dorado Roayale, Mexico
A-MA-ZING!!! Go here asap!! It was clean, luxurious, and totally romantic. The room was crazy beautiful, and the food was outstanding. Lots of things to do, but plenty of time to relax. Splurge on the moonlight massage on the beach…totally worth it!!

Put them in your LIW album and then right click on a pic, come back into the original post, go to where it says 'Insert Web Image' and paste it into the thread. If that makes any sense. sorry, I am not good at explaining things
Or you can just put them in your LIW album and insert a link on the thread.

It's so good to hear that you loved your flowers! I've heard so many negative things on here about FBB, but have heard so many excellent things outside this website. Can't wait to see your pictures!

Hey, I can't wait to see pics, my wedding is going to be there next June in the dome room with chair covers and bows! I would love to see how beautiful everything was set up. If you don't mind me asking, how many guests did you have and was it crowded?

Thanks. I really want about 200 people, but my guest list is over 260 right now. So I have to cut it down a little. Have they put permanent bars in the room or are there rolling bars? Where do the rolling bars go?
