TOMMY TUNES (dj): A+++++++++++ These guys are the BEST dj’s out there. We had seen them at a couple of weddings before we booked them and EVERY time they were fantastic! We were a little worried because the one guy who we wanted as our emcee wasn’t available, but WOW, it did not matter!!! The guy Chris that came was amazing! We really didn’t want the dj to have too much presence and he totally listened to us. They played EVERY song we had listed as a “MUST PLAY” and they even used their discretion to play very little slow songs because there were so many people constantly on the dance floor tearing it up! People are still calling a month later to tell us how amazing the music was!!!! We got the package for 5 hours with extra lights…PERFECT!!!!

THE FOUNTAINHEAD (reception hall in New Rochelle ) A+++++++++++++ This place is absolutely incredible! They were so incredibly accommodating it was unbelievable! One of the wait staff had noticed that a guest wasn’t really eating during the cocktail hour. They went over to him to ask what the matter was and he said that he was allergic to so many things that he was afraid to eat. They asked what he could eat, wrote down the list, and then proceeded to cook him a special cocktail hour meal of his own!!!! INCREDIBLE!!! The bridal attendant was always at my side, ready to give me food, drink and whatever other crazy request I had. The maitre’d was fabulous and the banquet manager SANDY was just so awesome! HE helped us the entire time during planning and really calmed my nerves. I felt as if he were part of my family. I called him about a thousand times with random question and he calmly answered everything immediately or got back to me within ten minutes. This place is so outstanding & accommodating on ANYTHING you want, I wish I could make everyone get married there!!!

ANGELICA GLASS (photographer) A ++++++++++++++ I’m not sure I even need to write anything here. If you have read anything about Angelica on this board, you know that she is just well, incredible!!!! She had an assistant with her (Thomas) and he was awesome! The two of them just blended in with everyone and everything and I didn’t even know they were there all night---which is EXACTLY what we wanted! I COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN ANYONE BETTER!!!!!!! She put up 8 teaser pics on her website at www.angelicaglass.com under the blog section---scroll down once you are on that page and we are Melissa & Bob… I will let the pictures speak for themselves… AWESOMMMMMMMMMMEEE!!!

DESIGNER LIMOUSINES (party bus) B+ The party bus itself was PERFECT! We only had about 13 of us in there for a bus that should seat double that---the room was just perfect enough (with my dress and the cooler ahahha). The only problem was that he didn’t stay at the church after dropping us off and then was REALLY late to get us again after the church. We were supposed to jump right in the bus after the wedding because we had a lot of picture ground to cover before we went to the reception and we didn’t plan on a receiving line. SO, while we were waiting for the bus, we kind of all looked stupid just hanging around. Then, when the guy came back, the air conditioning wasn’t even on and the bus was HELLA hot! That ******. But we got on the road and made all of our stops. We ended up being late to our cocktail hour and going over the time allotted. My parents had to pay for overtime. BUT since the guy made us wait so long for him after our actual wedding, we are trying to see if they will refund that charge because it was the same amount of time were late by! I will update this specific review to let you know what happened. ***UPDATE*** they refunded us a little less than half.

RED OAK TRANSPORTATION (shuttles to and from hotel & fountainhead): A+++ These guys were great! Efficient and on time!!! They even took shortcuts because of traffic on the Hutchinson River Parkway, so the guests wouldn’t be late to the cocktail hour!

RENAISSANCE WESTCHESTER (hotel where everyone stayed after the wedding): A+++ This place is soooo great! They worked with us on designing a custom voucher style breakfast! Carmen Sanchez was the woman who I worked with and she was fabulous! She calmed me down when I freaked out that there might not be any rooms for our guests---She worked everything out for us, without any problems. They took our OOT bags for us a few days before and set them up SO nice for everyone! They even let me put names on the bags!

DENISE (hair): A++++ This woman deserves gold medals for working with me! We went through several different hairstyles and she really listened to me with everything I said and wanted. I haven’t gone to a hair dresser in almost 25 years because I always get something I don’t ask for. She listened to me and really has become a friend and now my personal hairstylist. NO ONE will ever touch my hair except for her! She travels to wherever you are & is the most calm and cool person in the world to work with. She even made special visits just to match my hair with real hair and then sewed on the hair to clips so that I can easily use my extensions in the future whenever I want!!! The day of the wedding she brought a girl with her to help set all 7 of our hairs. Denise managed to come up with 7 different hairstyles that were PERFECT for every girl!!! Even though she had NEVER seen any of them before!!! Right off the top of her head!!!I was floored at how incredibly gorgeous each girl looked!!!! I mean WOW! KAREN A (make up)A+++ (vendor from liweddings) She did a great job with all the girls. A true artist! The girls were all really hesitant to get airbrush makeup at first, but Karen had purchased a new type of airbrush make up that was more matte and they were each so happy with it!!!

DESIGNS BY ROSE (bo-ks only): A+++ They were so patient with my one million emails changing the bo-k I wanted for myself! AHHAAH I never saw a sample but WOW, they did and incredible job. She went to the flower market hunting for a particular flower that I had seen in a magazine and had given her a picture of. Really over the top effort and great people to work with!!! ARCADIA FLORAL (centerpieces): A+++ I worked with Jennifer and she was fantastic!!!! She really helped me to decide which would be better for the particular vision I had and what we could do to get the most for our money! She has a world of experience and it shines through when she helps out! Amazing--- and the way they were set up at the reception hall----PERFECT!!!

PHOTOBOOTHSCRAPBOOKS.COM (photo booth) A++++++++++++++++++++ This was the biggest hit of the night. Being a photographer myself, I was torn between the digital photo booth and this old school “dip and dunk” photo booth. I am SOOO happy I went with the old school dip and dunk one!!!!! The digital ones fade quickly while the “dip and dunk” are archival prints (which means they won’t fade for a REALLY long time---like decades and decades). This particular company www.photoboothscrapbooks.com was great! There was someone there to man the scrapbook and make sure people were putting some of their pictures in the book and signing it for us ---it was our guestbook. The guy also made sure that everything ran smoothly. At one point something went wrong with the booth but he fixed it in 2 minutes and everything was back to normal (apparently they are all trained technicians too!!). I would highly recommend this company if you are looking into photo booths!

SOUNTRAC (oldies group): A+++++++++++++ We had them singing live during our cocktail hour for music (instead of the traditional dj route) People were LOVING it! They were sort of off to the side but everyone kept coming over to see where the music was coming from and to watch them and to dance and to sing with them! They can be seen, heard and hired at http://www.sountrac.com . Tell them Melissa Sawicki sent you. They also play at the south street seaport in Manhattan during the summer and at various locations in long island throughout the year!!

MARCELLO (ELVIS impersonator): A+++++ This was a TOTAL surprise for me!!!!! Only my mother, SANDY and ELVIS himself knew ahhaha… He was sooo good I cried!! I didn’t even cry at my wedding ceremony!!! He sounded PERFECT!!!!!! If you are interested in hiring him, FM me and I will give you his contact info…

R & K BRIDAL (my dress): A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This place is just the BEST place in the universe! I went dress shopping everywhere and found few things I liked. I wasn’t happy with the fact that I could only try on limited amounts of dresses in those stores. I wanted to try on lots of things. I also wasn’t happy that I had a time limit at some of those places. Then I came to RK Bridal! I took about 12 dresses in the dressing room the first time and tried each one on! The woman who was helping me was adorable and honest and just wonderful! I felt like I was at my own house just trying on regular clothes. They were extremely knowledgeable about different styles and fabrics and designers! Not to mention that dresses I tried on elsewhere were here and for A LOT LESS MONEY!!! The alterations department was INCREDIBLE! I had the most perfect bustle known to mankind! Easy and the taking in of the whole dress was quick and the girl did and GREAT job! Boy do they know their stuff there!!!!

PAPETERIE (invitations): A+++++++ We were able to work totally online together, which was GREAT! I am an artist so I had to have certain shades of certain colors and, admittedly, got a little picky throughout the process, but they were patient, calm and sent over countless email proofs for me to print out and go over. They were awesome and you could use styles they already have up on their site or you could completely design your own!!! Absolutely worth every penny spent!

CUSTOMINK.COM (cozies & t-shirts): A+++ Excellently designed website. Fantastic products!!! No cheap materials….thousands of designs to work with and they can expedite as fast as you need them! They do quantities from 1 to inifinity… Shipped quickly too!

MEANDERADVENTURES.COM (honeymoon): A++++ Shirley was the woman who I worked with. We must have gone through a million different scenerios of a honeymoon to get the absolute MOST luxury for our money!!! She spent countless hours emailing and calling me about the honeymoon. Different hotels, sights, etc… HIGHLY recommend them for GREECE! They specialize in it! EVERY hotel was right in the middle of wherever you wanted to be! The hotels were incredible!!!! We went to Athens, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. Check out my album for pics of some of them…

BONELLE PASTRY SHOP (grooms cake): A+++ This woman can make ANYTHING you’d like. Just bring her a pick, tell her what you want and BAMMO! The cake’s pic is in my album titled “other wedding stuff”. It is exactly, to the T, what I asked for!!! Cheap too!!! She is located in Forest Hills, Queens on Ascan Ave.
