Here is my long awaited review. Sorry it took so long. Things have been so busy here since the wedding, so I finally had a chance now to write it.

Let me start off by saying that every vendor was exceptional. Our wedding turned out to be the day I always dreamed of.

Weather A++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I think us 7/7/06 girls really wound up w/ one of the nicest days of the summer!!!! it was 80 degrees, sunny, no clouds, no humidity,and most importantly NO RAIN!!!!! What a day!!!!!! i couldn't believe it when I woke up in the morning!!!! I thank Mother Nature everyday for being so kind to me!!!!!

GOWN- KLEINFELD’S A++++: They were wonderful to work with from the beginning. Kleinfelds is an experience in its own and I think every bride should just at least go look there. They treat you great and the new NYC store is incrediable. My original salesperson was Maria who was great and I LOVED my seamstress- Lillian. She was so sweet and accommodating.

MOB GOWN: Bridal Reflections: A: They did a wonderful job with alterations. My mom’s gown was stunning. They also were very accommodating and helpful.

BM Dresses Bridal Reflections: B: Now keep in mind that we bought the BM dresses at the same store that we got my mom’s dress and there was a world of difference between the seamstress that worked on my mom’s dress, compared with the one who worked on the BMs dresses. We had an incident with them when my sister went for her second fitting (she was my MOH). See, at the first fitting, she forgot her shoes, so she was told that the alterations on the gown would be made, but they would leave the hem until she came back for the second fitting. Well, when she went back for her 2nd fitting, the dress was hemmed above her ankles!!!! WHY???? We do not know what possessed the seamstress to go ahead and hem the gown without shoes. But for some reason she did and 5 weeks before the wedding we had to order her a brand new dress. Not what I wanted to be worrying about at that time!!!

Glen Island Harbour Club A+; Glen Island was our dream place to get married and it really was a dream come true!!! They did a wonderful job with everything! Rocco was our BM and he was simply the best! I highly recommend that you request him if you are getting married at GI!!! We had such a beautiful day and all our guests took advantage of the grounds. In fact many of them arrived early and GI didn’t hesitate in serving drinks and accommodating each of them!!! We had a little over an hour CH, appetizer course, pasta course, main course, and veniesse hour!!! It was all everything we dreamed of!!! Anyone who wants more details on all the specifics, I will be happy to give them to you!
Glen Island is truly a classy and elegant place. Not glitzy, but simple and elegant if that is what you are looking for!!!! The grounds are exceptional, the food was impeccable, the service was outstanding and they gave us our dream wedding!!!

Riccardo Video Productions A+++++++++ ONE OF MY FAVORITE VENDORS!!!
Let me tell you, they are so wonderful to work with !!! We had both the main videographers..Anthony and Joe and they were awesome every second of the day. They got EVERYTHING!!!! They arrived VERY EARLY…..but let me tell you it was soooo worth it! We opted to upgrade and have a recap of the wedding morning and church played at our reception. They filmed me getting ready, my husband arriving at the church, me arriving at the church and our vows and edited it, made it into a movie and played it for all of our guests at our reception right after the main course. It was very expensive but SOOOO WORTH IT!!!! It was so moving! We both cried when we watched it at the wedding. They made it so movie-like and the quality was unbelievable!!!
Everyone was raving about it after they saw it. It was nice b/c it is holding us over until we get the main video.
They were so great and really got every single detail in the video. I was very focused on the small details at my wedding and Anthony and Joe made each and every last detail known….they captured it all!!!!
I cry till this day every time I watch the Recap Video! I believe they are one of the best in their field and soooo talented!!! If you need a videographer…they are the one!!!!

Infinity Photograpy A They were also wonderful!!! They got unbelievable shots at Glen Island…on the rocks …over the water….so beautiful!!! They too are very pricey, but the caliber of their picture were so high!!! I HIGHLY REC. THEM!!!!!
They had very calming personalities and were so sweet to work with all day.

Arcadia Florals A++++++ Probably my favorite vendor!!!!
First, let my start off by saying that I was VERY PICKY about my flowers!!! I had in my head they way I wanted them to look and stressed A LOT about it!!! I worked with Chris in Arcadia and he did a SPECTACULAR job!!! They were on the pricier side than other florists and I was worried that I could have got a better deal somewhere else. But the day of the wedding, I cried when saw my flowers!!! I really did!!! He did a beautiful job. EXACTLY like I described to him and even 10 X better than the sample!!!
I told him I wanted a BIG Bo-K and he did exactly what I told him!! It was HUGE, but what I wanted. I had about 5 dozen roses and 6 dozen stephanotis in it!!! It was so beautiful!!!
My CPs were white roses, hydrangeas and Japanese orchids!!!! I STRESSED that I didn’t want any greenery in them and that I wanted them very tight…..that is exactly what they looked like!!!!
We also decided to set up hurricaine candles all around the perimeter of the room in GI. They sat on the ledges of the windows in Glen Island and looked so awesome at night when they aware all lit. Chris from Arcadia took care of all of this!
He also did the flowers for my cake. It was a 5 tier cake with 3 tiers of hydrangeas and roses just like the CPs. Everyone commented on how gorgeous it came out!
I had my doubts about going to a florist that I didn’t know too much about….but I had no choice b/c that is who Glen Island made me use, but they worked out to be WONDERFUL!!!! I am so happy I used them! If anyone is using Arcadia, defintately deal with Chris all the way…what a great guy!!!!

HAIR/MAKEUP: JENN (Hair Genie) and Oksana A+++: They were great!!!! I had 4 trials w/ them (yes, I was VERY confused) and the day of the wedding they really came through!!!! My hair and makeup beat every single trial I had!!! It lasted all day and night and looked great! Also, Jen was a HUGE help the morning of the wedding!!!! She helped out so much that day with reviewing the flower order when it came in, helping me get dressed…etc… They were just so great to work with and soooo funny and calmed me so much that day!!!! I was worried that my hair would not come out right, or my makeup wouldn’t last and none of that happened!!! I am so happy I went w/ them and believe all of the great comments you hear on this site about them!!!!

PARIS BAND Soundcheck Entertainment A I had 10 piece band and they were awesome! Their motto is to sound as close to the original recording as possible and they really did. They played great music and followed all of the directions that we provided them with!!! All of my guests danced all night long!

The Finishing Touch A I was no thrilled with the linens in GI, so we opted to go ahead and rent linens. I dealt with Marianne from the Finishing Touch in Hicksville and she did a beautiful job. I ordered ivory lines w/ gold embroidery for all of the guest tables at the reception and well as the sheer ivory bow covers for the chairs. She decorated the sweetheart table so it looked so romantic and elegant!!! What a job she did and it just added to the room sooo much! Definitely recommend her!

Designer Limos B I used Designer Limos and have to say they were the only vendor I was not thrilled with. We ordered one Rolls Royce for us and one Escalade for the BP. They did show up on time and with the right limos, but they were a little disappointing. First of all I had faxed the directions from the church to Glen island over to Alicia in the store before the wedding. When we got in the limo and were on our way, the limo driver asked my husband for the directions. The driver said that our on contract it read to get the directions from us that day. Thank God we did remember how to get there, but I was worried that we were not going to remember exactly. This was unnecessary !!! Also, when I left my house with my parents to go to the church, my dad asked the driver to play “Here Comes the Bride” with the horns like they always do. The driver responded with “ I do not know where the button is on this car to do that”. What limo doesn’t play that for a bride on the way to her wedding!!!! Not too bog of a deal I guess, but I was pissed…you only get to do that once!!! The LAST big mistake they made was the drivers of the limos were given strict orders to take the flowers from the church to Glen Island to use in the lobby entrance at Glen Island. Again, I told them prior to the wedding and my dad told them the morning of the wedding. Well…guess what??? They forgot 2 out of the 4 that was supposed to be taken!!!! And the two that they did take they forgot the drop off when they dropped the BP off at Glen island and my parents had to call them back!!!
So I was not happy with them!!

MENUS- Pippy’s Sweets: A+ : I worked w. Dianne at Pippy’s Sweets for my menus and she was such a sweetheart. I emailed her 100s of times about what I wanted and she came through in a pinch!! Her service was excellent and her prices were soooo reasonable!!! So worth it!!! The menus came out beautiful and looked gorgeous on the tables! She will design anything you want!

RUNNER: The Original Runner Company NYC A+: I had a custom runner made from the Original Runner Company in NYC. It is the same company that designed Trista and Ryan's runner from ABC's The Bachelorette. They did a beautiful job. The entire runner design is hand painted. I opted to have it shipped to me and I received it about 2 weeks prior to the wedding and it really loooked gorgeous in my church!

String Trio- Charmanade Players A: I have to say that for years the one thing I said I wanted at my church at my wedding is Strings so I could hear Pachel's Canon in D at my wedding! So i decided to go w/.a string trio and it was a beautiful touch (Still didn't get to hear Canon in D b/c I had it played when the Bridesmaids were walking down the asile and I was waiting outside of the church at that point....can't wait for the video!!..lol) They were so elegant and beautiful to listen to.

MONOGRAMS Creativemontage.com A: I had 5 moongrams created by this site and it was a great idea b/c I wound up using 2 of them for my menus and programs. It was a nice touch to add. Just visit the website for more info.

I know that I am forgeting many vendors, but these are the main ones for now!!1 I have to say that my wedding was everything I ever dreamed of and couldn't have been better n my eyes!!!!
