My 12/4 Wedding review of Westbury Manor!!

Okay here goes: Before I start my review I have a few pieces of advice for future brides:
1) Enjoy it b/c it goes so fast, as soon as you blink its time to cut the cake and its over.
2) Get a photojournalist! It is well worth the money. As you can see all the B and W pics are from the photojournalist and I LOVE them
3) Take dance lessons. The guests are still talking about our first dance and how it was the best thing they have ever seen.
4) Things WILL DO WRONG ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING. There is nothing you can do to help that! Trust me I am the most anal person alive and you still cant control everything and everyone so, accept it, enjoy your day, and trust me NO ONE notices it but you!

Okay so here is my review:

Bridal Gown, head piece, and veil, Flower Girl Dresses, 8 BM, and MIL and MOB dresses:
Renate’s in Copiague. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
All I can say is I owe everything to them. I did not even find my dress or the BM< dresses there but had them order them b/c they were so accommodating, reasonably priced and very reliable! I would recommend them highly and would use them again. We had soo many issued with BM gaining weight and they handled it and made the dresses look gorgeous!

Tuxes:
SAL’S Fashions, Massapequa. B+
The tuxes looked great however, there were some size issues that should have been checked when the tuxes were picked up but I cannot blame that all on the store as the GM may have ben at fault as well.

Limos:
Alexis limousines: A+ and F!
They get an A+ for the 3 limos and drivers for the day of the wedding. They were amazing in helping everything run smoothly for the church.

They get an F b/c I had in my contract to have 2 shuttles for the WM running to and from the WM and the Inn at Fox Hollow. Well, they only had one and needless to say there were many bridal party members waiting an hour at 1:30 in the morning at the WM to get a ride home. I was SOOOOO MAD! They had to get cabs b/c the guy them locked his keys in the shuttle! Alexis I am not impressed with your shuttle service!

Flowers:
Burtons: B
My sister used Burtons and her flowers were gorgeous so I used Burtons too. My bouquets was nice as you can see, but they promised half stephanotis and half roses. It is obviously not ½ and ½. The B< bouquets were falling apart by the time we even got to the church. The Centerpieces were a lot more skimpy then the sample one I was shown and 2 pew bows fell off the pews as I walked up the aisle! I was very disappointed with them. However, in pics and to anyone not in the bridal party, the flowers looked pretty so I gave them a C+ and not an F

DJ
Dancejock: B+
I am torn on what to rate this company. I had a Frank Sinatra singer and a plasma TV for pics to be flashing on it so that was why I used this DJ b/c he offered this feature. He was good in getting people to dance and some guests said it was great, But, he really didn’t do what I asked which was to play songs that would get everyone up, (like electric slide, and the stroll etc). He ignored my sisters 3 requests from my mom for the electric slide which made me mad b/c she was footing the bill! I don’t think So other than ignoring requests, and not doing a bridal, party dance which I also requested, oh and not playing certain songs I requested, no one else at t he wedding seemed to mind him and said the DJ was fun.

Hotel
Inn at Fox Hollow: F/A+
F leading up to the day. They are so incompetent when it comes to booking rooms
A++++++++++ the day of!

Dance Lessons:
Sandy’s School of dance: West Babylon. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Amazing! She choreographed our dance to our song and everyone was screaming through the whole routine! Is was the best part of the night! I loved this vendor!!

Photography
Proline Studios: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
AS you can see my pics are great! They were wonderful and I did not have one bad experience. I recommend David as the photographer and Vinny as the Photojournalist. David was such a sweet sweet man and made the whole day perfect for me. The pics are amazing and I loved every one of them!

Travel Agency
In & Out Travel, Lindenhurst: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Amazing! David made sure out Honeymoon was everything I imagined it would be. His connections at all the hot hotels in Hawaii were great b/c we got upgraded EVERYWHERE we went! From the hotels, to the airline, to the car rental. Everything got upgraded b/c of his connections! I loved it and would use him again and again and again!

Makeup
Oksana: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My makeup and all the BM and moms looked amazing! She really has a gift and in every picture the makeup stayed all day and night long! Ladies who can get her for your wedding will not be disappointed she was great great great!

Reception
Westbury Manor. A
I am not giving them an A+ for these reasons: (minor reasons)
1) There was only one bartender at my CH and the line was too long. My dad flipped out and they got another bartender but it was too late at that point
2) I had used the garden room as my reception and the Library had the bar in it. They were storing some chafing dished from the other wedding in that room and my dad was really mad b/c it looked bad just sitting in the middle of the room. But they then took them out.

The food was amazing, the service for the table and my maitre d” were great. Everything went more than smoothly, and they made sure my day was wonderful. Oh and they get an extra point, b/c the day before my wedding the bakery I got my cake from had an emergency and couldn’t make my cake so they were able to make me a beautiful cake in less than 12 hours! So props to them for that!

As for future WM brides, you have nothing to worry about. They know what they are doing, and they do it very very well! FM if you ever have any worries and I will ease your mind!
