My June 12, 2005 Wedding! (Long) ADDED SOME CRUISE PICS! Edited for more on Proline and proofs!

First of all I’d like to say thank you to all of the people on LIWeddings that made my planning process such a great experience! Thank you all for your wonderful ideas and for sharing your pictures and experiences! And now here’s my review!

Mother Nature-A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The day was amazing! I woke up to brightly shining sun and a clear blue sky!! Although it was a bit hot outside, it wasn’t unbearable. After a year and a half of worrying about the weather, I was pleasantly surprised!!!!

Bridal Reflections(Massapequa & Carle Place)(My dress and bridesmaids)-A++
I have to say that I have read some harsh things about them, but both stores were wonderful to work with. I picked out my dress (Yolanda Couture) in the Carle Place store, and since I live in Massapequa, I did everything else in the Massapequa store. The girls there were awesome!!!!!!! They answered all my questions, squeezed me and my girls into appointments, put up with me changing my mind on dresses for the bridesmaids and colors! Fittings were great, the seamstress Zizi was AWESOME! And my girls really had no problems.

Denise Leli (Headpiece)-A++++++
I LOVE DENISE! Seriously, her and her daughter were both soooo sweet and helpful!!! Originally I was dead set against a headpiece, but after putting on one of Denise’s creations, I fell in love and had to have it. It was very close to the wedding, but Denise pulled it off and hand delivered it to me. She was amazing to work with and her work is incredible!!!

Claudia Pedala (Hair)-A++++++++++++++
Claudia was sooooooo sweet and a pleasure to work with. She was the only person I had a hair trial with and I booked her on the spot. I went back to her a couple times to try different things, and she was always willing to do whatever I want and give me her ideas. The day of my wedding she was there early, and did myself plus 4 of my bridesmaids. Everyone looked beautiful. I ended up changing my hair from the trials and gave her a picture of what I wanted that morning. She did exactly what was in the picture and I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!! IT WAS PERFECT! I will definitely use her again!

Maureen Pedala (Makeup)-A+++++++++++++++++
Maureen is such a sweetheart!! I booked her on the spot as well… she works great with her sister, Claudia. I had the airbrushing done, it was flawless and so light!! My makeup was amazing!! Maureen did 4 of my other bridemaids and each of them looked outstanding! She is really great at what she does, and one of my bridemaids even booked her on the spot for her own wedding in October!!!

Proline Studios (Photographer and Photojournalist)- Pre and Day of A+++++, (WILL LET YOU KNOW MORE WHEN I GET PROOFS)**UPDATED
I have read so many different reviews on Proline. I will admit that at one point I was nervous about booking them and called and spoke with one of the owners who told me to come in to address my problems in person. I did, and he was soooooooo nice and addressed each and every concern I had. He promised that my experience on my wedding day would be wonderful…. Well, it turns out, HE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! My photographer was Danny and I also had a photojournalist(I cant remember his name)… well they were both awesome!! Danny made me soooooooooo comfortable!! I was one of those brides who gave him a list of shots that I wanted and he really went out of his way! He was such a professional!! I cant say enough good things about them. My family and friends said the photojournalist was awesome too… he would be tip toeing around and you didn’t even know he was there. I will write more once I get the proofs back.

MY pictures are amazing!!!! They got everything that I asked for (and yes I was one of those with a 3 page list) and more!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE both the regular and photojournalistic shots!! We have TONS of proofs and its so hard picking our pics out! I would definitely use them again and will use them in the future for other events!

Proline Studios (Video)- Day of A++++
I forget the video guy’s name, but he was a really nice guy!! He took a LOT of video. He was laughing at one point at how nutty FH’s mom and her friends were being. I cant wait to see the video!!

Simply Elegant Flowers- A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My centerpieces were AMAZING!!!! I got soooooooooooo many compliments on them!! They really were so beautiful and the from what I hear, the flowers lasted so long after the wedding for the people that won the centerpieces. My bouquet was really nice and they added tiny crystals in between. The girls were just what I had requested and beautiful. All of the flowers were really beautiful!! They used the material from the bridesmaid’s dresses to wrap the stems!! They also decorated my memorial candle with flowers. Our dais was decorated sooooooo nicely!! Emily(the owner) was awesome to work with!!!

Body Rock Entertainment- A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Sergio was our MC and he was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I have heard nothing but compliments about the music!!!! I’m not even kidding!!! My mother-in-law’s best friend even took their card for when her daughter gets married, and she’s not even engaged!! LOLOL…. We also had the percussionist who was really great!! During dinner, we had a Frank Sinatra singer…. He was AMAZING!!! EVERYONE LOVED IT!! I will use them for ALL of my parties in the future!!!

Royal Brass- A++
We knew we wanted trumpeters, so I researched it and found royal brass. We met Roger and booked him on the spot. He was such a nice guy! The day of, they were there playing in their tuxes. They really added such a nice element to the wedding ceremony!!

All Star Limo- A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
After searching and searching for the Phantom Rolls Royce the DH wanted, we met with All Star. Their limos are impeccable!! They were there early, limos were immaculate and stocked. All of the drivers were professional and really great to work with! They brought the right aisle runner and kept everything running smoothly!!! Will definitely use again in the future.

Kathy from Follow Your Heart- (Invitations, favors, t-shirts, handkerchiefs, table cameras, unity candle, ring pillow)- A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
All I can say is that Kathy is AWESOME!! She is such a great person to work with!! Her prices were incredible, she is fast and efficient! My invitations came perfectly and quickly! We did a donation favor,… Kathy created scrolls and attached them to beaded pouches with Jordan almonds. They were beautiful and boxed for me to pick right up! The t-shirts, cameras, candle, pillow and handkerchiefs were all really great quality and good prices and Kathy got everything in quickly! I will most definitely use her services again!!!!

I ordered the crystal monogram cake topper from website. Took a while to get it, but was just as pictured.

Garden City Hotel- (Wedding Night)- A+
We stayed at the Garden City Hotel on our wedding night. It was nice and convenient to Chateau Briand. We got a king room. The room was very nice! We were starving when we got there and they warmed our dinner from the wedding up for us and put it on “real” plates. We ordered breakfast room service which was great!

Chateau Briand- A+
From what I hear, everyone had a really great time! The cocktail hour was wonderful and the food and service was great! One thing that really aggravated me was that originally we wanted our cocktail hour outside, but because it was a very hot week at the final meeting I specifically requested that my cocktail hour be inside. Well, when I got there, long and behold me cocktail hour was OUTSIDE!! Um, I was really upset and confronted the banquet manager who told me that he was never made aware of my request. I told him that I was not gonna let it ruin my day because it was breezy out by that time, but I was and am still pissed that what I specifically wanted was just overlooked. Turns out however, that all of the guests LOVED that it was outside! So that makes me feel better at least! Other than that, everything was as promised and the wedding was tons of fun!! I should add that the one thing that I was upset over was my cake...but I'm not sure if it was Chateau or my florist's fault... but it was supposed to have roses in between each layer and instead they were only in the front.... but if that's the worst thing, then I can get over it! LOL

Honeymoon- CAP JULUCA in Anguilla and Cruise- Royal Caribbean
First week of honeymoon:

IT WAS EVERYTHING AND MORE!!!! PARADISE!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!! I REALLY CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT IT! 5 STAR ALL THE WAY!! We stayed in a second floor junior suite. THE SERVICE, PEOPLE, FOOD, BEACHES, ROOMS! UNBELIEVABLE!!! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second week of honeymoon:
Royal Caribbean- Adventure of the Seas- A+++

We flew from St. Maarten to San Juan where we picked up the ship. We had a junior suite with a balcony, mid ship. We went to St. Martin, St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados. We had a blast!! Food was good, room was nice, entertainment was excellent and the islands were beautiful!!!

Congratulations! Evertyhing sounds amazingly perfect...even the hall's 'misshap' sounds great because outdoor CH are the best! Sorry you were upset over it though.

Fr. Andrezj did my ceremony.... he was AWESOME!! I cant tell you HOW MANY people have told me that it was the best ceremony they have been to! He really was great and spoke right to us!
