My mini review with some non pro pics

I wasn’t going to do my review, but a few girls said that I should considering I had some great vendors & some very disappointing ones as well.

Bridal Suite in Bayshore A+++
I dealt with Mary Ann & she was professional & helpful from day one. I purchase my gown, & both my veils from her. My mother also bought her gown there as well. I wouldn’t say that they are the cheapest around, but they were very accommodating to me. The seamstress pretty much re designed the top of my gown a week before the wedding to my liking. Great place..

I got my head piece from there, what can I say that hasn’t been said about them. I loved my headpiece, I actually have it on display in my home..

They were great to work with as well. They treated my girls fab & their prices are really unbeatable.

George was a pleasure to work with from day one, I used him for photos & for video, to which I’m waiting on the final products, but I have no doubt that they will be above my expectations. He was actually the saving grace on my day, as you will read on. DH & him , hit it off right away , which meat a lot to me , I wanted our pictures to be perfect. I know they will be..

The reason I give them both C’s is not because they are not talented, they are , they did a good job on my hair, & makeup, not exactly though how I had wanted or how any of my trails were , but I lived with it.
They were both supposed to be at my home to do my hair & makeup @ 11am, they did not arrive until 11:45. I didn’t make a fuss about it because I figured, oh well what’s done is done, either way, Im getting my hair & makeup done. But I do find this very unprofessional. My girls started arriving & I still had not had my make up finished. ( Thank god it was just me that they were doing other wise ther would have been a greater delay) I told them that the photo & video would be arriving at my house @ 12, so I was a little upset by their tardiness, to say the least. But they did hang around & help me get into my gown.
I guess they were in no rush at that point.



PRIMO LIMO BIG GANORMOUS FAT F.
So after getting over the fact of the hair & makeup being late. The limo really took the cake. In the beginning Ed was great to work with. I booked him a lil late into my planning, but he was avail & had the 2007 escalade & we really wanted that. We contracted with him for a 2pm pick up for them men & a 2:30 pick up for me. The church was @ 3pm, only about 10 min away. At 2:15 I get a phone call from DH he wanted the limos’ # because he hadn’t shown up yet to get him & the guys. He called & was told that they would be there in 10 min. 10 min turned into 45 minutes. At this point it was 3pm, the time I am supposed to be saying my I do’s. At this point my father is in the street screaming & losing it,
My DH is panicked & Pissed off.
We were given every excuse as to why they were running late, from getting lost, to another limo blocking in our limo & that one broke down, so they had to jump start it, to get this one, the limo drivers wife passing away the evening before. !!! That excuse was quite funny.
Now its 3pm, the limo picked up the men, then came to my house & got the girls & brought them on to the church, while I followed along in the specialty car, with 6 cars in between so that my DH would not see me before. This is totally not how it was supposed to be. The men were supposed to be alone & go to the church & then that limo was to come back & get the girls & I was to follow them in the special car with my mom & dad. Nope, So EVERYONE arrived at the church a ½ hour late altogether, like one big clusterf**ck @ 3:30, to the priest standing on the steps , folded arms , pissed off.. Not knowing it was the limos fault.
Thank god I was the only wedding that day. Then to top it off we were supposed to have a stocked bar in both cars, NOPE , they had to make a run before heading to the hall to get liquor.
Now because of the limo being so late, I was not able to get to the arboretum to take my pictures. *****…. All my outdoor pictures basically were supposed to be there , with the grand gates all that, & because the limo was so late, we had no time in between the hall & church to go there, Im still fuming when I think about this. There’s more, so after the ceremony, (we had this ALL on our contract too) the limo was supposed to take my mom back to the house because she was opening it for in between time, for the guests & then it was to return & pick her up with the Bridal Party & head over to the hall,
GUESS WHAT, THEY NEVER PICKED her up. No less she got a ride from a relative back to the house to save time for us, the limo driver left her at the house & never went to get her. I get a phone call right before we get ready to head to the hall from my mom asking where the limo is, I called my dad who was in the limo & said where are you, he tells me headed to the hall, 10 mim away.. LOLOL just great. So I flipped & got bridezilla, & said it MUST turn around & get her!!! Nice, huh, not only are you late one hour, your tardiness makes it that I cannot take pictures where I had planned ( & I had time to do that ) you forget to get the mother or the bride…
Now after all this, we pull up to the hall & we are not even out of the car & Guess what, the driver is looking for final payment.. Ain’t that a joke !!!
Final what?? LOL ..We still had arrangements with them for a limo ride back to the hotel for that night, so guess what bud, you’ll get your $$ when we see that you show up at 1am to take us back to the Hotel. He was pissed, but too bad, so were we.
Oh & the final straw, yea they showed up, with a town car NOT a limo as contracted.
Did we pay them in full, yea we did, why do you ask. Well, I knew sooner or later I’d do somewhat of a review. & I figured at best that the Owner ED would call me at some point & at least apologize to me for what happen, well he never did, 2 ½ months later. So this lil review is my way of saying thanks to PRIMO LIMO you guy’s suck…

Royal Brass. A+
Rodger @ Royal Brass was great to work with. This was my gift to DH. I wanted them at the church so that when he pulled up they’d be out there playing, but guess what, it almost went un noticed, no thanks to Primo. All in all, they were fab. So glad I got them , DH loved it..

Pippy Sweets = Invites. A+++++
Diana, your so talented. I loved my invites. Diana did a great job on them. EXACTLY how I wanted & she was easy to get a hold of. Open to suggestions. Loved her, one of my fav vendors…

Lisa, another vendor who was a pleasure. I had wanted to make my own, but considering I did quite a lot of DIY myself I figured Id trust this to someone else. So glad I did. She did a fab job, I loved my runner. Not only was she great to work with, but she works with you as well..

This band is just incredible. Gus & his musicians are so impressive & talented. Im so happy that we chose them. I literally didn’t sit all nite !! Anyone looking for a band, def check them out, Anyone using them , don’t worry , you wont have one single regret. They are phenomenal.

SANDCASTLE, A+++++++
I saved my favorite for last.
Anyone getting married at SANDCASTLE, you have not a single thing to worry about, They treated me & my DH like a princess & prince. I don’t think that there isn’t one thing that they didn’t do for me.
The day before the wedding we dropped off all the DIY thing’s, they musta thought I was nuts I had so many things. I said there is no way this is all gonna be displayed as I want, It was & they even came to get me before the guests arrived to make sure I liked the way they set the room up. Ron , our BM was a doll & a ½ to deal with, DH drove him nuts, He got quite a few laughs from us.
He did a bike ice sculpture for us , with the HD in it too.. LOL
The food, OMG there was not one complaint, I know a lot of brides say this, but it means a lot. There just was an abundance of food, from the CH to the main entrée with seconds, to the vienese. I had freggin zepolies at my vienese hour, I asked for these the day before too. LOL Amazing, Down to getting me the black table cloths & pink napkins to match my theme. The place is just phenomenal.. We even joked with Ron when we went back to get our things that we will be back to have our first born’s communion there J …

Ok, DIY’s. I did an enormous amount of things myself. Well with the help pf my mother & DH. Pedestal Votive place cards. Loved the way they came out. I did the Mr. & Mrs in black & the last name in pink. Bought them almost a year before at AC moores. All of my personalized things mostly had out monogram on them , Water bottles, Tic Tacs, Matches, CD’s with our fav songs. Petal Cones. Slipper baskets, with tags. Slipper Poem frame. I DO rhinestone letters for cake table. Menu’s for hall. My ballerina slippers. My mom laced & flowered em for me. Custom stamps for invites. Also wrapped all the favors to match the invites.

So that’s pretty much my mini review. As I said , I wasn’t going to do one, but I got a lot of great ideas & was steered away from some things due to reading reviews of other brides hence why I did a min one.

I have to say, If you’ve read this much so far J I just love being married.
I’m a Wife E now. LOL & I have a husband.
The day I said I do , was what I always wished it would be like & then some.
I married the man of my dreams!!!
Limo’s, hair makeup, in the end, I was still getting married… Late on time, no show , show, diy’s. no diys’ , doc’s no doc’s it all works out,
