New Year's Eve Review of Leonards of Great Neck

First of all I'd like to say happy new year! This review is based on a new years eve party at leonards, it may be helpful to those who are having parties/weddings there. The cocktail hour was very good however the choices were limited (this may not be the same for weddings, it was afterall a new years eve party). Their calamari was tender and cooked just right. The main course had a choice of 4--chateau briand, some fish, eggplant, and a chicken dish. The chicken dish was very good-but it was served with some potato hashbrown. Although it was good, I don't think it's a side dish that should be served at a catering hall. It was more of a breakfast item in my opinion. From what I heard, everyone enjoyed their dishes. My only 2 complaints are: 1. they closed the open bar a 1/2 hour early 2. the place was FREEZING!! (all the girls needed jackets because it had to be about 10 degrees in there--mind you we were dancing and drinking and we were still cold!) Overall we did have a great time--the DJ hosting the party was Satisfaction Guaranteed and they got everyone on the dancefloor, and they played a wide variety of music. The room itself was very roomy (downstairs). However i feel it needed some updating as far as decor.

The End! Hope this review helps!
