My wedding review.

Stewart Manor Country Club – A+ and then some
James was a saint!!! I arrive in my limo already dressed (Jim saw me before the ceremony) and there’s James waiting. Calmly asking me if I brought the votive candles. Nope, and he says he’s look everywhere, we have none. So I said “then I guess you need to buy some” he says “Ok” and sent off someone to do just that. So early in the morning no less. He was just SO there the whole time! He got the fan up on the fireplace last minute. Set up my placecard table BEAUTIFULLY! He just rocked!

Music by Michael – A+
Ok, I wanted VERY particular music for the ceremony. He couldn’t buy it online. I had to burn a disc and get it to him that morning before the wedding. We’re talking again about when I arrive and I’m having photos taken. He rips it to his computer, checks it and loops it perfectly. He kept folks dancing and really had a GREAT time at my wedding!

Giacomo's Italian Bakery – A+
I never saw my cake until that night. What an AWESOME job he did and it was DELICIOUS! Although for the cake cutting it was still too cold so it was a bit hard to cut, but by the time it was served it was perfect.

Jillian of Gorgeous Faces – A+
I loved my look and it REALLY lasted all night. I touched up my lipstick only once.

Commodore Limos – A+
On time, Friendly service, very classy and only $100 each limo. They were clean, well stocked and they knew their directions, no easy feat for Stewart Manor. Later I heard my mother gave her driver hell about the war, he handled it like a pro!! Then on the way back my brother was banging the glasses with the chopsticks and lost one inside in the console and the driver handled that with no complaints!! Had I known I’d have tipped him higher!

Joe at Queens Bridal Lyndenhurst (Photo) – A+
Really nice guy, really accommodating. Imaginative and god he was EVERYWHERE! I can’t Wait for the photos

Hilton Inn – Garden Inn – Westbury (Hotel) – A+
SOOOOOO comfy and so very very nice to me and my family! We even stayed an extra night!

Sarah (Hair) – A-
She put in all the effort she could. No A+ only because my hair was mess before the end of the night. Annoying. But if anyone saw my sister’s hair. She did that too. LAST minute and it was perfect!

Tuxes – Tuxedo Park – B
The tuxes were great. The service was ‘ok’. They almost overcharged my stepmother and I ended up hearing that crap all day before the wedding and after the wedding. VERY VERY annoying. Jim’s shoes looked really beat up and that’s just not cool.

The Video Guy at Queens Bridal (Video) – B
Ok, this guy sorta ticked me off. At one point in the night my guests were leaving and I was returning from the restroom so I wanted to say goodbye. This guy says he wants our goodbye shot and I have to do it now. I’m thinking no way. So I told him “look I pay you to wait, not my guests”. That and the weirdness of that spot light during the cocktail hour. Otherwise it was ok. I can’t WAIT to see how they coverup the thud of the ‘grandma’ drop.

Gary’s Flowers (on Broadway in Huntington) through Queens Bridal – D-
I asked for all bi-colored roses with a few red and orange(tangerine) flowers in my bo-k. I wanted the MOH to have mostly red and orange with some bi-color and the two BM to have only red and orange. Mine was to be big and round, MOH smaller, BM even smaller. Instead I got fall type bo-k’s that ALL looked the same!!!! There was PUPRLE in my flowers!!!! And an orange ribbon. I wanted to kill him. Still do. The two pieces at the wedding, he showed us Ginger (big red flowers) and we were happy and impressed. Well apparently the two we saw were one for each! More purple, more orange! BAH! The only reason he doesn’t get an F is no one noticed. (I think)

DRESS - Macy's Manhasset – F
Ok, they were GREAT until my dress came in. God they were annoying. I got my dress the day before the wedding and there were two pearls missing which held the little rosettes so on both sides of my dress I have an unraveled rose. Hrmph ALSO James (god bless him) had to sew back in a hold for my train because it was mysteriously torn off when I picked up my gown. Odd since my last fitting it was there. Then there’s the manager Josephine who talked crap about my hotel. Saying Hiltons are nasty and the last one she went to had bugs on the entrance. Hello, lady I just said I was staying there??!?!?! BAH

Congratulations. Glad to hear mostly everything went okay minus a few glitches. I was wondering, is Gary’s Flowers the only vendor Queens Bridal offers or do they offer a variery of Florists. I want to go with Queens Bridal, if I can, becuase I know so many people who have used them and loved them. But that florist sounds horrible...

Well the flowers were goregous if you were having a normal western wedding... I however was NOT. He just couldnt get that in his head.

But to answer your question.. yes you can choose another florist from Queens Bridal.

I loved seeing all the little touches you had written about over the past months. The fan looked perfect on the mantle & the cake was perfect too!

Congrats Veronica!!!!! So come on now... you didn't 'hate' your wedding did you??? You couldn't have because despite the little things that did not go exactly according to plan -- you looked BEAUTIFUL IN YOUR GOWN, I LOVE JIM'S Tux and your gorgeous CAKE, AND everyone just looks sooooo happy!! You two really do make a lovely couple, and you look so happy in your pictures. I'm so happy for you -- congratulations!!!!
