Ugh. I was so happy with the envelopes he did for us, so it was a no-brainer that we do table numbers, menus and favor/placecard tags with them as well.

It got weird in the end when the owner kept telling us he hadn't received the paperstocks and placecards I shipped to him. I had paid the post office to deliver them on a specific day, and it took them two weeks after that to receive them! Okay, it may have been the fault of the post office, but the owner had said the same thing with our envelopes. They had 'not come in yet' one week after we had sent them to Inkspun. The fact that it happened twice was hard to believe. I mean, we're in Chicago, not Antarctica. And the table numbers, menus and placecards were to be sent to Long Island.

Um, so we received the table numbers, menus and placecards three days before the wedding. I was just so glad they got to my parents' house in New York. And I had kept hearing about the fast turn around.

The font was not right on all of them. The whole reason I ordered from them was so that the font would be the same as the font on our envelopes. Oh yeah, and one of the tables on the favor/placecard tags was written out (i.e. Table One) instead of Table 1 like the others.

Annoying, but again, not end-of-the-world stuff. Especially when you pay these people, and I could have just shot these table numbers, etc. through my computer myself. It was about the font.

I ended up buying all my girl's dresses---it was easier this way since all of them are pretty much out of state. One dress came in the wrong size, but I ended up keeping it, since it fit well. Only one girl had to get alterations in the bodice, and the others just ended up having to hem theirs. It saved a lot of headache from ordering from different boutiques in different states.

My programs turned out beautifully, but I felt we struggled with them to get them as we wanted. They made numerous spelling errors on the proofs they e-mailed us, and I was just getting tired of editing, I mean, wasn't that their job? They are located in Louisiana and had to evacuate their office for Hurricane Katrina. Their final proof they had to just send to print without my finalizing the cover in order to get them to us. We just crossed our fingers that they would turn out correct, without any errors, and they did. I added 4 varieties of pressed flowers on the covers to add some color. (An idea I also got from here)

INVITATIONLANE.COM FOR INVITATIONS: 9

It's a little scary ordering invitations over the internet, but we saw these invitations in a stationery shop and loved them. We felt they were modern, classic and simple and at invitationlane.com, they were 30% off retail.

The proofs were e-mailed to us and the whole process was relatively speedy.

They did send us our order with 9 reception cards missing, but sent out the 9 plus extras free of charge I think within a week.

Other than that, there were no problems and the invitations themselves came out beautifully.
