Our incredible Oct 9, 2009 wedding!

This has been a long time coming, but I've just be so caught up in the new house and being a newlywed that I'm just now getting around to writing my review.

I honestly cannot say a bad word about any of the vendors that we used - every single one of them made our day so special!

Dress - Michael Nolte, bought at Lillette's in Baldwin. Excellent service from picking out the dress (Lydia was AWESOME) to the alterations. Only little complaint I had was that since I bought the sample, I was told that it would be treated like a dress that they had to order as far as cleaning goes. Needless to say, I saw a few spots on the dress and sash when I took the bag off but it was nothing that anyone else noticed at all.

Shoes - Sandy's in Massapequa on Sunrise, They were super helpful and had no problem re-dipping my mom's shoes when she wanted them a shade darker.

Hair - JoMaur Salon in Rockville Centre did an awesome job on my hair and my girls' hair. Extra kudos to them for dealing with my cathedral length veil that had to be attached securely before I left the salon.

Makeup - Makeup by Lisa, she was awesome and I would recommend her to anyone! We had our first trial and I wasn't super thrilled with the color choices but she allowed me to do another which turned out to be perfect. She came to me the morning of the wedding and made me look natural and beautiful!

Limos - Avanti Limo, so easy to work with and we were extremely pleased with the cars they sent. My MIL even surprised me by sending a Rolls Royce to my house to take me to church and I had no idea from talking to Carolyn at Avanti that I was even getting one.

Reception - Brentwood Country Club, what a great price and great experience. We hit a few bumps in the road during the planning process but I'm telling you, if there was something that went wrong during our reception, I had no idea. Our maitre'd was wonderful, he checked with hubby when 2 tables wanted to push themselves together and also made sure that hubby was given periodic updates on the score of the Yankee game (they won btw).

Photographer - Twelfth Night in Garden City, we had Dominic and Mike shoot our wedding and they were incredible. At one point I noticed that my flowers had turned parts of my dress yellow and there Dominic was to the rescue with a Shout Wipe! We are so happy with the way all of our pictures came out. Money well spent.

Flowers - Dureya's in Freeport, more than I expected or could have ever imagined, the flowers were beautfiul and lasted all day!

Hotel - Long Island Sheraton on Motor Parkway, great deals for our guests and we even had a bottle of champagne and some truffles in our room that night.

Honeymoon - Aventura Spa Palace in Riviera Maya Mexico . . . OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend looking into this resort if you want to go to Mexico. All inclusive and just absolutely wonderful, totally worth every penny!

My best advice to brides to be is really to just not stress out over every little detail, it's so not worth it and really doesn't matter once the wedding day arrives. Enjoy every second of it, it goes by so quickly!
