It’s been 3 weeks since my wedding and I wanted to get this review up before too much time passed ?

The day was absolutely AMAZING, I couldn’t have pictured it any better. All of my vendors were wonderful, the Bridal Party was awesome and the best part I married my love. I don’t have my pro pics yet so I’m posting what I have from guests.

LI Weddings A+

I will admit I was a stalker of this site for a while. I didn’t start actively posting until late March. This truly is a wonderful forum for bride’s to come to. You ladies all have such wonderful ideas. It was great to hear how other bride’s were progressing, seeing dress fittings, shower pictures and your goodbyes. I wish you all a lifetime of happiness and more with your DH’s.

The Dress
True Love Bridal – Matawan, NJ – A+
Maggie Sottero – Benecia

I loved my dress!!!!!! It was absolutely perfect. It had taffeta, lace and a little bit of sparkle. I didn’t need much work on it – a few tucks here and there. Maggie dresses tend to come longer, which was good for me. Once I had my shoes and slip on, the hem didn’t need to be touched.

MOH, JrBM and FG dresses
David’s Bridal – A+

My MOH and JrBM wore Victorian Lilac and my FG wore Lilac. They all looked beautiful. My main objectives with the bridal party dresses were to find dresses that all three could wear that matched style wise, keep the cost down and find a place that was available in multiple states. The dresses worked out just perfect. I was happy to receive an email thank you gift from DB last week for a free 20 page photo book from Shutterfly. I included wedding and honeymoon pictures and should have it in another week. Yay!!

Shoes
Touch Ups – A+
Nona

My shoes were peep toe. I dyed them purple and added shoe clips that I bought from the site Absolutely Audrey. They were sparkly and fun and I just loved them.

DOJ
My own

I wore my Great Grandmother’s bracelet that had been given to me years ago (my something old). I also wore my Grandmother’s wedding band (my something borrowed).

Invitations
Exclusively Weddings – A+

I wanted simple invitations that didn’t cost a lot, but that looked nice. I was very happy with what I received.

Flowers
With All My Heart Florist – Wading River, NY – A+

Love love loved my flowers. Lenea and the folks at WAMH did a wonderful job. My bouquet had purple and green hydrangea, white dahlia and pink roses. MOH had pink roses and white dahlia, JrBM pink roses and purple lisanthus and the FG had pink roses. My centerpieces were purple and white hydrangea and cake topper was purple hydrangea.

Limo
Elegant Limousine – A+

They were great, on time and accommodating with picture taking.

Church
St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church – Wading River, NY – A+

We were so happy to be married at St. John’s. This Church is beautiful! Deacon Fred was amazing and extremely accommodating. We live in NJ and he made the entire process wonderful.

Reception Hall
Giorgio’s – Baiting Hollow, NY – A+

I cannot even begin to tell you how spectacular our reception was – the facility is gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful.. I knew I would have exceptional service, not because the Regini’s have been family friends for years, but because they are a first class operation. I had read many reviews and was so happy to hear all the wonderful things other bride’s had to say. The staff was truly fantastic. Gab, Rob, Mal, and Dawn were wonderful. I never had to worry about anything from the months, weeks, days before to the day of – they were great! The food was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G, our guests are still raving about it!

Photographer
Patken – Lyndenhurst, NY – A+

I don’t have my pro pics back yet, but I have to say the service we’ve received thus far has been wonderful. Nick shot our wedding and he was great. I didn’t meet him until the day of, since our schedules didn’t match up to meet ahead of time. We had a few phone conversations and I had every confidence that he would do a great job. He was on time and so easy to work with.

DJ
LI Sound – Bohemia, NY – A+

Brett was our DJ and he did such a great job. He played everything we asked and the music flowed beautifully. We didn’t go over the top with lighting or any of that, we really just wanted good music. LI Sound delivered! Brett even made us two cd’s – one with all of our reception music and the other with our customized dinner music. It was such a nice touch. We’ve listened to it so much!

Day of Hair
The Spa at East Wind – Wading River, NY – Desiree – A+

Desiree is amazing!!!!!! I really wanted to look like myself, just a little more fab – she captured that! I can’t tell you how much I loved how it came out. The girls hair looked great too.

Day of Make-up
Our friend Laura – A+
Again wanted to look most like myself but enhanced and Laura really did such a great job. I’m was a minimalist when it came to makeup – a little eye shadow, mascara, blush, powder and gloss. She had me in eyeliner and red lipstick the day of – ha! And it looked great. I’ve been wearing eyeliner ever since ?

DIYs

OOT Boxes
BoxandWrap.com – A+

I used white gable boxes and stamped each with a hydrangea stamp in purple. I added purple tulle and a sticker on the front. They were filled with two bottles of water, pretzels, rice crispy treats, granola bar, mints, fruit snacks, chocolate, potato chips and a card about the shuttle. The guests loved them!

Favors
Champagne

We gave each guest a split of champagne – I tied a ribbon around each bottle with a tag. So simple, yet they looked beautiful on the tables.

Candy Table

This was one of my favorite things. I bought several different size canisters from Michaels, ACMoore and Home Goods. I had purple ribbon around each one and a sign in front labeling the type of candy. I made two bigger signs – one that said Sweet Dreams and the other Thank You – that sat on mini easels on the table. We used clear goodie bags and they worked out great. The candy we used: chocolate Hershey kisses, dark chocolate Hershey kisses, Fun Dip, Jolly Ranchers, Gummi Centipedes, Gummi Twin Cherries, Now and Laters, Laffy Taffy, Caramel squares, gumballs, Mallo Cups and candy stix. I used Oriental Trading and the Candy Warehouse for the candy.

Menu’s, Programs and Table Cards

I used card stock for the menus and bought kits from Michaels for the programs and table cards. All super easy!!!!

Honeymoon

We had two weeks off after the wedding. We spent a glorious week up in Maine. Played some golf, ate A LOT of lobster, enjoyed the beautiful scenery and relaxed. We came home and had some time to readjust to life again. It was absolutely incredible.

One question . . . what was in the yellow boxes on the bed? it may seem like an odd question but I noticed it said Ecuador and that´s the country I live in!!! It may sound sad but I got very excited!!
