Partial Wedding review for 10/08/05 Hyatt Wind Watch, Tommy's Tunes, Possibilities Unlimited, Mya Creative Artistry

I will post pics once I get some...My day was perfect (even though it poured). I was extremely calm and tried to take it all in. It's so true- it goes too quickly.

Hyatt Wind Watch in Hauppaugue. A+ They threw an incredible affair. People were very impressed with everything. The food was abundant and VERY good. NOT catering hall at all- everything was what you would expect from a fine dining experience. We had some problems with our cake topper, which had not been boxed properly, but Hyatt replaced it.

We also had some difficulties with our morning-after breakfast. On our contract it says 9-1 breakfast, but things were getting cleared away at 11. We spoke to the BM Glenn who said we had the breakfast from 9-11, but the room until 1 (which seems a lttle ridiculous, why would I want a room for 2 hours without food?). They agreed to keep the food out until 1, but by the time this was hashed out, most of my late-waking guests had heard they missed the breakfast and either checked out or ordered room service. There was also nothing in the lobby directing my guests to the room where the breakfast was held, so some of my guests actually had the regular buffet breakfast in the upstairs restaurant, thinking it was our breakfast.

These are very MINOR glitches, overall, our experience at the Hyatt was wonderful, PERFECT. The hotel is gorgeous, the people there are so helpful and friendly. My guests (as well as myself) were SO impressed everything.

Royalty Limos: A+ LOVED them. They upgraded us to the stretch Escalade which was a pleasant surprise. Our driver was so relaxed, kept me laughing. He was early to the hotel and was wonderful about keeping an umbrella over my head during the downpour. My brother used them for his wedding and the experience was just as perfect. I HIGHLY recommend Royalty.

Hair/Makeup Mya from Cosmetic Artistry:A+
LOOOOOOOOVE Mya. She's a vendor on LIW. She did my hair, my make-up, 4 bridesmaids hair, my mom's hair and make-up. Everyone looked GORGEOUS. She is such a sweet lady, NOTHING ruffled her. We had such a great time in the suite getting ready- she was one of the girls. Even when I started getting stressed (a guest called to cancel 2 hours before the ceremony because she had jury duty ) she was so calming. It wasso nice having her come to me instead of going to a salon.

Flowers: A+ Chris Possibilities Unlimited in Bellmore. Chris did my very dear friend's wedding and blew everyone away. The experience was the same with me. She is truly an artist and really goes to the ends of the earth to make sure you are happy with your final product. Tommy's Tunes: A++++ Unbelieveable- truly. They were FANTASTIC!!! Kept the party going all night. I truly feel that this company is by far the best. I have never read a poor review of them- and now I know why....

Bon Bon's Chocolatiers in Huntington: A+ We had four truffles in little boxes as our favor. The boxes looked awesome, and the chocolates were divine. Bon Bon's has a HUGE selection of home-made chocolates to choose from. The only difficulty I had was deciding what flavors I wanted - it was all so good.

Gino's Restaurant in Islip for the rehearsal dinner: A+ Holy Jeezes was the food great! We paid 29.95 pp for 30 people. That included wine, soda, antepasta, salad, choice of three entrees, fruit, and a cake. We ran a tab for beer and mixed drinks. Including tips for all the waitresses, we spent about 1200.00. We had SO MUCH food. EVERYONE, including my picky parents were VERY impressed at not only the food, but the atmosphere of the place.
