Hello everyone and welcome to my wedding review!! What a long, emotional, exciting time!!
Without further ado, let's get started!!

Engagement Party
Knights of Columbus (Centereach, NY)....A+
We were treated very nicely at the Knights of Columbus...I forgot the name of the gentleman that we worked with, but he was awesome!
He was our maitre D at the party and he helped us out so much before, during, and after the party
The food was really good, we even had a champagne toast and a sweetheart table! They give you different choices for linens as well.
The only negative thing I have to say, and this is a BIG negative: the cake was NOT good! We were warned about it, but went with it anyway and
ordered a huge Edible Arrangement as well! The edible arrangement was a big hit!

After Hours DJ...A+
Phil was great to work with! The DJ he sent us was pretty good...He played everything song that we told him to play, although at times he was playing
too much of the same music (but that was partially our fault because I don't think we were specific enough)

James Cress...A+++++++
James Cress is amazing! Excellent customer service and our flowers were so fresh and vibrant! They lasted for a couple of weeks! I have nothing but positive
things to say about them!





Save the Dates
And I Quote...B
We went with a simple save the date. It was by Carlson Craft. I wanted to add a little bling to it, so I asked if they could add a rhinestone to each save the date.
They charged $.50 per rhinestone! When I went to pick them up, I was so excited only to find that they forgot to add the rhinestone! I had to come back again to pick them up.
Luckily, I lived close enough that it wasn't such of an inconvenience. On top of that, the rhinestones were misplaced and sloppy on about 20 of the 100 cards.

Bridal Registry
Macy's....A+
Macy's is one of my favorite stores and they have such beautiful items to register for! I loved Macy's registry for the simple fact that we just received a $215.00 gift card from them!
They give you this gift card according to the 15% of purchases made on your registry and the 20% purchases made on your credit card. So the earlier you register, the better because
they start counting your purchases from the day you register until your wedding day! The customer service at Macys (Smithhaven Mall) was also wonderful! The ladies in the registry department know who I am personally and even now when I come in, still remember me and say hi to me!

Bed, Bath, and Beyond...A
BB&B was amazing because they had everything you can think of! This very friendly woman helped us the first time around when we registered. She was very helpful and nice. The reason
I gave them an A and not an A+ is because when we came back to exchange some of our gifts, a different woman that was working at the registry gave us the biggest attitude!


Bridal Shower
Lombardi's on the Sound...A++++++
Lombardi's on the Sound is such a beautiful place with amazing food! Everyone was raving about their service and quality. My mom and my matron of honor
did such a beautiful job on my bridal shower! They treat you so wonderful from them moment you get out of your car until you leave. Our matre d (I believe
her name was Kathy) was so friendly and on top of everything!



Bachelorette Party
Mangia Y Bevi...A++++++
This place was SO much fun!!! Such a good time for a bachelorette party! The food was amazing! They have a DJ at this restaurant too, so you can dance!
My matron of honor did an amazing job planning this for me! I want to go back there!

Webster Hall...C
I used to go to webster hall when I was younger almost every week! Like I said, when I was YOUNGER!! It was expensive to get in, and their drink prices
are ridiculous! I didn't like the crowd, and they were playing techo music in every room! We still had an amazing time, but I wish we went elsewhere. NOTE: we didn't go on one of those fun nights, (80s prom), it was just a regular night.

A & L Limosines...A++++++
They were amazing to work with...The driver was 45 minutes early! Everytime we left a place, he was right there ready to go!




Rehearsal Dinner
Cafe Amici (Selden, NY)....A++++++++
I love Cafe Amici! Their food is always delicious and the price was AMAZING for what we were getting, which is why we decided to go with them. No regrets here!
When we arrived, our table was all set for us. We must have had about a 7 course meal, each course being absolutely delcious. Their service was amazing as well.



Wedding Bands and My Something Blue!
Jared...A-
We love Jared!! Great customer service and selection!! The reason for it's A- is that when we ordered my husband's wedding band, they failed to tell us that
if he needed it to be resized, they would have to send it out because of it's style. The salesperson told us to just come in whenever we wished, and it would be sized
the same day. So when we went in about a week and a half before the wedding, they told us that bad news and that my husband's band may not be ready on time!! This is one of the
only times I turned into a bridezilla (I usually keep my calm)..and I'm glad I was stern!! The ring was ready to go for us and I was happy!
My husband also bought me my something blue at Jareds, a saphire cocktail ring, which I love!




Weather...A+
Just a couple of days before our wedding, there was a blizzard! The day before our wedding was cloudy. When I woke up the morning of my wedding, I found the sun!
I could not believe I was blessed with the sun! There were a few flurries in the morning (which makes me believe that the people who passed on in my life were saying
hello to me!) I was blessed, my day was exactly how I wanted it...Sunny with snow on the ground! A perfect winter wedding! No Wind, it was cold (what do you expect in February
though!), but not too cold..I'd say about 45 degrees...I was so happy that the sun was out though! Thanks mom for praying for the sun for me!


Wedding Gown and Veil...A++++
Demetrios style #2795...I loved my gown! I actually had it customized to a corset and a train. The original gown just had a sweep train, and I knew I wanted a longer train.
I always wanted a 'Belle' inspired gown (Beauty and the Beast! lol)...and this was my perfect ballgown! I felt like an absolute princess in it and I received so many compliments!
I had three veils: catherdral, finger tip, and blusher. They were custom made to my gown and they were beautiful!!

Customer Service
Macy's of Herald Square...A++++
The customer service at this Macy's was outstanding!! The women working there are so friendly and make you feel so comfortable. They are also very knowledgable and helpful.

Alterations
Macy's of Herald Square...C+
The woman was friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I never had to wait when I came in either. These were the only reasons I did not give alterations and F.
Macy's charges so much money for the alterations. They charged my $300 for the bustle, crinoline skirt, and the bust line. I thought that was ridicilous.
That is not the main reason for this grade. I was very unhappy with my alterations. When I was first measured, I was one size larger than I was when I went in for my first
alteration. They never fixed this problem, and the gown was too big on me the day of the wedding!! Maybe my corset wasn't tied tight enough, but it was pretty tight!! This upsets
me so badly and it haunts me because I can actually see that the gown was too big in some of my pictures!! My bra kept showing in the back throughout the wedding because I remember my
girlfriends had to keep fixing it!! Curse these alterations! lol...I am not happy at all with the way it fit. Maybe I'm being a little dramatic because people told me that they couldn't even
notice, but I noticed! And now I have to see it in pictures!! Anyway, let's move on!






Jewelery
Headpiece and Earrings
Thomas Knoell....A+++++++
I absolutely loved my headpiece! It was eveything I ever wanted and more! My mother and I stepped into Thomas Knoell after visiting with Flower Michele. We did not have an appointment (I didn't realized
that you needed one...whoops!!) For someone that didn't have an appointment, we were never given an attitude or anything like that (as you know, some places would get huffy if you did that!)
Thomas Knoell helped me find the perfect piece. He definitely knows what a bride wants when she describes it! Looking back, I knew that he was definitely busy that day, but he still took his time
with me, and helped me find my dream headpiece!! He's expensive, but his pieces are definitely worth every penny!! I wish I could wear my headpiece again!! I will definitely wear the earrings again,
and I actually wore them for about a week straight after the wedding!! The store is very cute too...I definitely recommend Thomas Knoell, and if you are going to splurge, you should splurge on his jewerly!!
The headpiece is called Kyletine (which he ironically made on Valentine's day) I forgot the name of the earrings, but they matched perfectly! Everything was ready when they said it was going to be.



Bracelets
Swarovski...A+++++++
Both of my bracelets were gifts. One was from my husband, which I picked out (Diamante), and the other one was a suprise from my parents! I am unsure of the name of that one, but it was absolutely gorgeous!
It was a heart filled with swarovski crystals! Definite bling!!!

Bridesmad Gowns
Jim Hjlem...A++
Centereach Bridal...A++++++
Alterations at Centereach Bridal...B+

My girls loved their bridesmaids gowns. The gowns were the perfect mixture of class and elegance. I loved the back of the gowns especially because the back dropped low and it had a sweep train which made it very
formal. The train allowed a bustle for the gown, which we all loved!!
Centereach Bridal is amazing!! They are very personable, helpful, and friendly. The gowns were in very quick too!
I had to give alterations a B+ because a few of my girls had problems with their alterations. It may have been the style of the dress, but because of these problems, I couldn't give a better grade.





Flower girl dresses
TJ Max...A
I found ivory dresses with daisy embelishments (which matched my gown) in my nieces sizes 3T and 4T at TJ Max for only $25. They were cute and I thought it would be nice if I bought them because I knew the moms
were already spending a lot of money on the wedding! I would have loved for them to be in beautiful little ballgowns, but for the price, I couldn't turn my head away! They looked adorable!


MOB Gown
Wedding Center...A++
Alterations....A++
The gown was at a reduced price, and it arrived when they said that it would. My mother looked absolutely gorgeous in her gown and the alterations were great!



MOG Gown
Nordstroms...A+
My Mom in law found her gown at Nordstroms. She looked absolutely beautiful and her gown fit her perfectly!


Florist
Flower Michele....B+
John did a beautiful job on the flowers. Although, I wanted my bridesmaids bouquets to Be half calla lilies, half roses. When they arrived that day, it wasn't what I expected.
There were only 4 calla lilies in each of their Bo-Ks. Regardless, the flowers were absolutely beautiful. I loved my bouquet, the only problem (and it wasn't really a problem) was
that I felt the crystal wrap was put on a little sloppy. I'm not going to make a fuss because he did supply me with the crystals and the crystal wrap free of charge. My high centerpieces
were absolutely breathtaking. I wasn't crazy about the stand that they were put in. I wasn't given any choice on what stand I would have liked my flowers to be in. (the other choices cost extra!)
The low centerpieces were beautiful as well, but I felt that they were definitely skimped and not worth what I paid for. We also decided since it's
Valentine's day, that we would have an usher hand out a single rose to each lady
as they entered the church. Those were beautiful! Also, he talked us out of ordering flower balls for our flower girls.
According to him, they would be too heavy for our 3 yr old girls! Ok, I agree, but the funniest thing was that
the flowers in the baskets that he made for them instead weighed a ton!!! It was unbelievable how heavy they were! One of my nieces
couldn't carry it, and my other niece almost fell over carrying it!! (ok, maybe a little exaggerate, but they were heavy!)! He did do a wonderful job on my vision though and the flowers looked beautiful.
As for customer service, there were a few problems in this department. We met with someone in the beginning when we first booked who ended up leaving the job. Therefor, about 2 months before the wedding,
when we decided to call for a sample centerpiece, we get word that Flower Michele had lost all of our notes for the wedding!! OK, fine, so we went back to meet with John and discuss what we wanted once
again. Only to find out, a couple of weeks later, when we called again for a sample, that he had lost the notes again!! I had to e-mail him explaining what I wanted. Although, he hit the vision, it was
very stressful to deal with. Another thing was that my husband must have called him at least ten times leaving messages and he never returned his phonecalls!! Thanks to my LIW girls, I took the advice to e-mail
him. He did respond pretty quick to the emails, but we NEVER were able to get in touch with him via phone.
On a positive note, John was definitely a pleasure to work with when we met with him. He was so passionate about his job, and he was very sweet.
His great attitude, beautiful flowers, and attention to detail were the reason my grade for Flower Michele was this high.











Limosines
A&L Limosines...A+++++++
These guys were absolutely AMAZING!!! I've heard all these horror stories concerning limos on wedding days, but this was not the case for me.
They were early and ready to go! The cars were clean, the guys were friendly, and everything ran SO smoothly because of them! I recommend this company
one thousand percent!!!



DJ
Tommy's Tunes....A+++++++
Another AMAZING vendor!!! They were fun to work with, and our MC (I believe his name was Frank) was amazing!!! He was a lot of fun and very energentic from start to finish!!
They kept our dance floor busy all night...literally, if you look at pictures and at our video, the floor was packed out the whole time!!! They also supplied us with our monogram on the dance floor for a charge.
Another vendor that I would one thousand percent recommend!!!






Invitations, Programs, and Table Numbers
Tessa....A++++
She does such amazing work, and captured my vision exactly!! She was so pleasant to work with, and she was very quick and attentive with all her emails.
She was one of my favorite vendors. I was a bit weary about working via email, but it was actually easier than working with any other vendor!! She is another
vendor that I absolutely recommend using!! She works with your budget as well. The price for her programs and table numbers weren't too expensive either. The best part about ordering all of your paper needs off of Tessa is that she coordinates them all so beautiful and perfect.






Favors, Flower girl basket, Ring Bearer Pillow, Garter, Unity Candle
The Wedding Center....A++++
Another wonderful vendor to work with. Such a fun place to go! Everything came in on time when they said they would. The favors are affordable, and they
wrap them as well for a small charge! They are great for all the small items that you need!! The baskets, pillow, and unity candle are all from the collection by Beverly Clark called 'Chantilly Lace'.






Make Up
Jacqueline Nicole....A++++++
Jacqueline Nicole was one of my absolute favorite vendors! She is very sweet, personable, and makes you feel very comfortable. She is also very talented and listens
to what you want. She was on time the day of my wedding, and I'm not talking at the door at 10AM on the dot, I'm talking all of her makeup out and ready to go in my kitchen
at 10AM!! My makeup lasted all night long and I had so many compliments on it! I cannot say enough positive about Jacqueline Nicole, I highly recommend her! (I hate to repeat myself again, but I would
one thousand percent recommend her!!)



She was even nice enough to put a little make up on my niece!
My make-up trial

Day of

My make-up 15 HOURS, 8 tequilla shots, and about 14 glasses of champagne later! lol


Hair
Cactus Salon (Stony Brook, NY)...A-
Bella at Cactus Salon took care of my hair for my wedding months prior to the day! She is so wonderful and talented. She matched my extensions perfect to my hair!
She made my vision come true, and I absolutely loved my hair for the wedding! I also booked 8 other women for the day of my wedding to get their hair done at the salon.
The salon was WONDERFUL in accomondating all of them in the time that I had asked them too, and all the girls hairs (including my moms) looked gorgeous, and stayed the entire night!
The reason for the minus were two reasons. ONE, the price for the trials were enitirely different (and extreme) both times (the first being $40 dollars, the next being $85).
Also, they told me that I would be paying about $95 for the day of, and the day of I ended up being charged $150!! Another reason for the minus, a big reason, one that I almost canceled with them,
was that when I went for the first trial with my mother, she got her hair done as well. When she was having her her washed in the back, she heard a few of the workers talking trash about me while
I was getting my trial done!!!! I stayed with them because I loved how Bella did my hair, and she wasn't the one talking about me! If you have a big bridal party, this is definitely the place to go
because they can accomondate a pretty large party, and they do their job well!







David's Bridal...A
I purchased my faux fur cape and my bag from David's Bridal. I even ordered the cape via telephone and it came with no problem. No complaints! With the exception of the first time
going into the store with my mother when we were dress shopping. We were given some attitude by the salesperson! They may have lost a big sale! This was only one girl though, and the next times we went into this store, they were friendly and helful.



Card Box
The Perfect Wedding Box (Www.perfectweddingbox.com)....A++++
I loved my card box! I use it now as a showcase for some of the items that were at my wedding (invitation, ring bearer pillow, favor). I loved the fact
that it was see through and it was sealed shut. The only way someone could have broken into it is if they took a knife to the top to open it. (They give you this
option online when you purchase it) I was so glad that I could watch my envelopes all night! NOW DONT get me wrong!! It's no that I don't trust my family, you just never
know! And I'm glad that I bought this card box because we actually did end up having a wedding crasher at our wedding!! you never know!!



Shoes
DSW...A++++
I changed my mind about my shoes 3 times! I felt like goldilocks and the three bears: one being too tight, one being too high, and one just perfect!! lol...anyway, out of the three shoes, two of them I purchased at DSW. I returned one pair, no problem! DSW is amazing with their prices! They have shoes for brides, bridesmaids, and mothers! They even carry Nina shoes, which are about 40 dollars less in DSW than Macys! Great find, great store! My shoes were by Ann Marino.




Tuxedos
Mens Wearhouse....A++++
This place is definitely the spot to go to for your tuxedos! They have almost every color imaginable to match your bridesmaids' and mothers' gowns! They were great to work with! No problems here! But a small bit of advice. Don't assume the tuxes will fit and you can just have anyone pick them up. They had to adjust my father in laws and brother in laws tuxes when they came in to pick them up. But, this place fixed them very prompt, and all the men looked so handsome! Especially my husband<3





Church
St Margaret's of Scotland (Selden, NY)...A+++
This is the church that my family belongs to. They were great to work with the entire time. The Pre Cana was wonderful that they held. The church is very pretty, and my favorite part about it was the glass doors inside the church. Father Chris was very friendly. For anyone getting married there, they supply the unity candle holder! I wish I would have known this because I bought one!







Photographer
Photos of the Heart...A
They are a husband and wife team. We booked early with Ives (our photographer), and I have to admit that I was having regrets about booking with them. They are traditional more than anything, so when I was looking at how
other photographers took photographs, I started to feel nervous that I chose the wrong photographer. I was wrong!! They were wonderful!!!
You meet with Ives a few times before the wedding. They were right on time the day of the wedding!! They took beautiful pictures!! Debby (Ives' wife and assistant) was so sweet and I felt so comfortable with
her when I was posing for pictures. The proofs were ready two days after the wedding!! My only regret is not having a second photographer. I would have loved
to have a few more artistic and candid shots. Also, I didn't receive one picture with my brothers and me! I didn't put enough must take photos on my list. I wish
I would have, but what are you gonna do! They were great and took beautiful shots! They are very professional. Almost all these pictures in this review were taken by Photos of the Heart.



































Videographer

Daniel was so amazing to work with!!! He captured every moment of the wedding! The video turned out so beautiful, my husband especially is in love with it!!!
He was very pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend him! His customer service was outstanding!

Villa Lombardi's.....A+++++++ and beyond!
Where do I start with Villa Lombardi's! Ok, first off, the place is absolutely gorgeous and meticulous!! The chandeliers, the marble floors, the decor, gorgeous!!
They keep this place so clean too! We joke because everytime we went to Villa's, or any other Lombardi's place, there was someone cleaning!!
The food was out of this world...especially the cocktail hour!! It is seriously 'out of this world!' For those of you who are not familiar with Villas, they are
known for their cocktail hour because they give you so much food it's unbelievable! My guests could not get over the cocktail hour....If you have a chance, go to
their website, you can view their entire CH menu! We also went with the full viennese hour. They set this up in the cocktail hour room. Delicious and amazing! Anything
and everything that you can imagine!!!
My guests are still raving about this place! When you have people coming up to your family members with comments such as
'what did they pay for this wedding?!', you know you did a good job!! We also had a lot of compliments saying 'One of the best weddings I've ever been to!' Albina was our BM, and she was absoultey wonderful! We even saw Albina at another event held at Villas and she remembered us and bought my husband a drink! We have a couple of minor problems with them that I feel I should address to the future brides. We all love the cocktail hour room, it's gorgeous, right! Well, a few weeks before the wedding, we were advised that we would only be able to use half of the CH room if we have less than 150 people! They never told us that when we booked. We had 140 people! Oh nonono, we were getting the full room! I had to bring my mom in for back up and it worked! My mother is truly the woman because she argued our way into the full cocktail hour room!! Love you Mom! Another problem that we had with them was the guest book. When we dropped off our things a few days before, I had wrote all over the box with the guest book: 'PUT ON CARD BOX TABLE' loud and clear!!! Needless to say, the guest book never made it to the card box table and only about a third of the guests signed it because of it's weak location. The last of the last was that when we brought in our gorgeous table numbers custom designed by Tessa, we were told that we may not be able to use them. WHAA??? Apparently brides of villas, make sure that you double check with your BM that the table numbers you order will be able to be placed on the tables solo because their excuse for this was that the staff won't be able to read the numbers clearly and won't be able to find the tables. OK, that's nice, they don't know the tables. So we ended up settling on having both table numbers on the table. The day of the wedding, my wonderful matre d informed us that she only put our table numbers on the table. Beautiful!! Also, don't just expect that they will have those nice bottles of wines on each table like I did! It's most likely an upgrade, which I wish I would have known because I would have upgraded! I have to say, if you have a problem with anything at Villas, they will do whatever they can to fix it.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with
royalty! Our Matre D', I believe her name was Kathy, and she was so wonderful to us! She was there at all times and she took such great care of us! She even bustled my gown for me!!
When they say that their motto is 'Reputation is Everything', they really aren't kidding! Their reputation lives on, because I have to tell my Villa brides, you are in for the best time
of your life!!

Honeymoon
Maui and Oahu...A++++++++++
Our honeymoon was so amazing!! We stayed at The Pineapple Inn in Maui, a small Bed and Breakfast, and we were treated so nicely there!! They stock your fridge, and everything is so clean!
It's close to all. Mama's Fish House and The Road to Hana are two things that are definitely worth checking out!! Maui was a dream. I wish we would have stayed out Maui longer, there are so many beautiful beaches and sites to check out! We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiin Village in Oahu. It was
a lot of fun and much more fast paced. We chose this place because of my father's timeshare. It's a huge place with a lot of families and people, so if you are looking for privacy, this would not be the place!! There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and activities. Honolulu is definitely NYC with beautiful beaches! Hawaii is BIG money too! If you plan on staying 2 weeks as we did, be prepared to spend thousands...no joke! We had so much fun on our honeymoon that we brought back a honeymoon baby!!!
