I just have to say Lisa is a doll. She was very helpful from the beginning to the end. I ordered my invites through her and they came out so adorable that I got rave compliments. I also ordered little wedding cakes candles to use with the place cards and peas in the pod as 2nd favors. She made sure everything was correct and in order. She personally delivered my favors to my MIL house to save me on shipping which I thought was above and beyond call of duty. I would highly recommend Family Affair.

I loved my dress and I didn’t have any issues picking out the dress or ordering it but it was getting lied to that I was pissed about. I ordered the dress the end of May from the Orlando, FL store and was called the end of August to say it was ready. I went to try it on and it fit perfect BUT when I asked to put the dress up like the sample I tried on the girl (happens to be the same girl in May who remembered me) goes “What you mean put it up you don’t have a bustle”. I just looked at her and say “what you mean the dress I tried on had a bustle”. I was then told that it doesn’t come with the bustle and I yelled at the manager saying “why are you letting girls try dresses on with bustles if it doesn’t come with it”. They told me it would be 2 weeks for them to put the bustle on and it won’t be done in time for me to take it. So I took it with me to NY and my mom and I went to David’s Bridal in Westbury and had a shouting match with alterations there. A woman working there took my mom aside to calm her and me down and said for me to bring my dress to her house and she will put the bustle on and it will take a half hour and save you $50 dollars (rush fee). She felt bad that this happened and says this happens quite often that things get screwed and she doesn’t mind fixing them off site. I took it to her 4 days before my wedding she was a godsend and I really thanked her and wanted to pay more for her doing it but she declined. I really call her a worker because I would not have known what to do if it wasn’t for her. I can’t give her name for privacy reason and to save her job. But I really thank her. I give her an A+++++++++ to infinity and David’s Bridal in Orlando a full D+. My sis got her MOH dress at Westbury with no issues at all. She knew what she wanted and they had it to her with alterations in 2 weeks so they get a B- becasue of little things here and there during the alterations.

OOT Guests : Holiday Inn at Plainview = A++++++++++++++++
We stayed there Friday night into Sunday. Rooms were clean and tidy and all the blocked rooms were together which was great. The front desk was very helpful as well to a few guests who had questions. Our bridal Suite was amazing for Saturday night. It was really big and away from all the noise. Loved the Jacuzzi it really relaxed us afterwards. But the only thing I warn is that they hold $50 on your charge card until you check out. I guess they were having issues and started that because it wasn’t there Memorial Day weekend when we stayed there. Other than that it is a great hotel to stay at.

Welcome Dinner - Monroe’s (Holiday Inn at Plainview) - C
The food and staff were excellent and the reason I give it a C was because we were not put in a quiet separate room and we were sitting right next to the dance floor on singles night mind you. We saw things that were a little inappropriate and the music was a little raunchy. I was quite disgusted but this was my MIL’s idea so I couldn’t say anything.



Hair/Makeup – MOM = A+++++++++++++
How can I complain she is my mom? My mom is a hairdresser so that saved me a bunch. She did a fabulous job on my hair and sis’s hair. We used Bare Minerals for makeup. I didn’t want anything too overdone and it was just perfect and natural. I have to say everything stayed on and in place the whole afternoon. Great Job Mom!!



Ceremony/Reception: Holiday Inn at Plainview A++++++++++++
I have to say it was a great place to have a wedding. Diane was excellent along with Suzy my attendant. They made sure we had everything and that everything was moving along smoothly. The ballroom was done beautifully from the ceremony to the reception. They incorporated everything we bought in for our tables and made it look fabulous. The wait staff was excellent and everybody raved about the cocktail hour and the entrees. We had little things that were forgotten but I did not mind because everything was going our way.



Officiate: Dr. Jan A+++++
She made us a very nice ceremony from what we picked out. We had a few blunders which made it funny but other than that she made it smooth from the vows to the rose ceremony. Everyone complimented on how beautiful a ceremony it was.



Photography: Velvet Studios A+++++++++++++
All I have to say is wow. We had Judy and boy was she fantastic. I happen to be running fashionably late by a half hour and she took the guys and started their pics. When I got down there she took all the shots in different locations on the hotel grounds. She was happy to take pics of us with anybody we asked to take one with. We were quite nervous since it was before the ceremony and she made us feel comfortable by joking with us and helped ease our nerves. She was right on us if something happened unexpectingly or if she thought of something she sprung it on us.
**UPDATE** I received my proofs and I have to say is WOW. She did an excellent job and took a whole lot and some I didnt remember happening. They were awesome and for the price there were a whole lot of proofs. I would highly recommend Judy and Velvet Studios.










DJ – Top Hat A++++++++++
The DJ was excellent. I didn’t catch his name but he played everything I asked for and even took requests from guests and from my cousin who wanted to do something embarrassing to me. He got everyone up and dancing right till the end. A lot of the guests really loved the mixture of music he played as for it was for all ages.








Flowers - Jay Becker A+++++++
All the flowers came out excellent. My bouquet was so beautiful and the colors really accented my dress. The arch for the ceremony was very beautiful also along with the corsages and the guys flower things. The centerpieces were awesome and I got a lot of compliments. They were all fresh.






Butter Cookery Bakery- A++++++++
The wedding cake came out excellent. It was moist and the filling was exactly was we ordered. We were told it was great cake by our guests. We also had cookies which were presented nice. We didn’t really try any but were told they were fabulous.





Wedding Rings: Sears A++++++++++++
We love our rings and the saleslady that helped us was knowledgeable. We also got a good deal on them and when it came to cleaning there was not an issue.
