sites I don't want to get married at my hall. I was looking for a church, beach, or something like that.
Please help if anyone knows of a place.
Thanks

Re: Anyone have any feedback on ceremony
May as well grab a cup of coffee and sit because this is going to be a long one!
First question is where will the reception be and how far from there is the area you were thinking?
If you have not chosen your hall yet, he Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, Atlantica, and Crescent Beach Club all have the beach for the ceremony right there, but an indoor option if it rains. Murphy's law says that if you have a plan B it will be beautiful out that day!
Coe Hall at the Planting Fields is amazing, if your a mansion kind of gal.
The Historical Chapel in Woodbury has all the stained glass, oak pews, tin ceiling and tolling bells that give you that church feeling. I think it seats 120 and comes with the organist, and officiant. (usually me unless you need a man)
CW Post has an Interfaith Chapel
The United Nations has a chapel if Manhattan is an option.
Now this is going to sound a little strange (but not as strange as the Chapel at Greenwood Cemetery, which is actually very cool, photos on Captain Arnold's website if you want to look) but there is a beautiful church on the property of St Johnland Nursing home. They use it for art shows and resident gatherings and it's really nice and huge. I was there a year and a half ago. It was for a girl who worked there, Danielle & Steven was the couple, and she said they were interested in doing more weddings there. Huge space, beautiful place. Their website is http://www.stjohnland.org/home.php but I don't know who you would have to talk to.
'The Islip Grange' is a Sayville Restoration Village kind of thing. It is a Town of Islip Property and if you call Annette at 631- 224-5684 she'll send you out an application and set you up with one of the care takers for a look see. There is a $100.00 security deposit which you get back by leaving the site as you found it. The 3 hour site fee is $175.00 for non residents and $125.00 if you live in Islip. Photo's ceremony what ever you choose to do with your 3 hours is up to you. Occupancy is about 60 people and they did have an organ there. If you have never hears of the Islip Grange, like most people below is a link with some photos.

I have done weddings on the back lawn of the mansion at the Arboretum in Oakdale. which was gorgeous. The only thing I want to mention about unrestricted venues is to be careful of what you can and can't do, as well as making sure that all your vendors set up and remove everything for you. (my Oakdale Bride got a 'good deal' on the chairs but when I got there they were in a pile on the lawn)
I hope this has been helpful! Feel free to call me if there's absolutely anything that I can be of further assistance with! I eat sleep and breathe wedding so believe me it's no imposition LOL!
Wishing you both many healthy years of love and marriage, wisdom and wonder.

Wow thank you so much for your feedback. My hall is in Bellport at the country. So I would need something not too far from there.

Re: Anyone have any feedback on ceremony
You're welcome! It's my pleasure.
The Islip Grange and the Oakdale Arboretum are both pretty close to Bellport. How many guests are you thinking for the ceremony? The Grange is all weather friendly but I don't know if the Arboretum has an indoor option. I have also had couples just pick their favorite beach. Permits may be needed for that though. Is there a particular feeling that you're looking for? If you describe it in more detail it might ring a bell for someone who will then post just the right place!
Please let me know if you find an undiscovered treasure that I can share with my brides and as always call me anytime if I can be of help with absolutely anything.
