Band or DJ's

Hi All - I'm getting married next year at the Jericho Terrace.. My fiance and I are torn between a band or DJ. Any suggestions?

In my opinion, there is no doubt that live music is excellent. As a DJ, I love live music, as long as it is quality. You really need to screen well to find a good band. There are several in the area and they cost good money. Be prepared to spend on a good band. And, you wouldn't want a poor band.

When deciding on a DJ, make sure they are of the style you want. You need to consider the vision you have for your wedding. What is your vision? Are you going for simple and elegant or over the top.

If money is no object, I would use a big band and a DJ. If money is a factor, I would go with one of the popular bands, such as 'Head over heals' or 'Alive N' Kickin''. As for DJs, I am more understated, classic and elegant. I am not over the top. I concentrate on the eclectic in terms of music with a biting wit that will engage a sophisticated audience.

There are other DJs who will offer some incredible extras. I've been around for over 30 years and am rock solid reliable, experienced and cater to your vision. What I want takes a back seat to what you want. I also incorporate live music in my setup. I have a violinist, duo and quartet for ceremonies and cocktail hours, etc.

My broadcast radio and club background makes me uniquely qualified to adjust to all situations and make sure the show goes on no matter what.

Good luck with your search. As a DJ, I still love bands, but they have to be really excellent or don't bother, instead, use a great DJ. Your guests will appreciate it!
