I went and looked at the Bridgeview last night. I LOVED it, but am a little nervous. The food was very good, and the place is beautiful. I am concerned because you never hear about this place. Has anyone been to a wedding there? I am also a little upset because your reception on a Sat. night needs to done by 11:00 because the club opens at 12:00. The guy said they make 2 million dollars from their Sat. night summer club. The club is where the reception takes place.. I already booked the church for JUly 16, 2005 so I need a Sat. Any feedback would be great. My other choice is John Anthony's. I have to make a choice.

Dear Bluesky: I also work as a vocalist in a LI wedding band, and, have heard good things about Bridgeview, but never have worked there. I am, however, working tonight at John Anthony's, and we usually will be fed, and can easily tell if the function is running well. I would be happy to forum mail you some feedback sometime tomorrow. I have also heard a lot of good things about John Anthony's. Sounds like it might be a difficult choice! I'll be in touch!

We have worked there many times. All Friday night weddings though. It is very nice and the food is great.
I know for a fact, that one of my brides had her wedding there in Oct. 2001 and since then, all of her relatives have had their weddings there.
John Anthony's is also very nice. We've shot there many times also.
So either way you are looking at good reception halls. Now you need to see which fits your schedule better.
