Celtic or Medieval

My FH is from Scotland. We will be married on Long Island, he in a kilt. I am looking for a dress with a celtic or medieval look. Are there any shops on Long Island that may carry something like that?

Hello and Congratulations!

There is a wonderful costumer who attends the Huntington Ren Fair every year http://www.fashonsintime.com I believe her website is. I have 2 of her dresses and they're 2 of my favorites! Http://www.crimsongypsy.com made the wedding gown for one of my brides last year as well as the wedding party dresses as well. Medieval Mayhem in Rononkoma may be able to help you as well. Robin and her husband Kevin are well versed in the recreation and feel of the whole period. Good luck and please feel free to contact me if there is anything else I can help with.

There is a magazine in the Book Revue in Huntington that has information on Medieval Weddings, clothes etc and where to get them. Call the Book Revue at
(631) 271-1442. They are located at 313 New York Avenue in Huntington.Tell them what you are looking for and they can give you the specific name of the magazine. Hope this helps.
Also look at my website http://www.stanwiest.com for ideas for music under Specialty Entertainment. I have a harpist that plays Celtic music. I also played the wedding for one of the members of Riverdance and have lived extensively throughout Scotland. If I can help with any aspect of the music for the ceremony or reception please let me know.
