I have my heart set on changing my ceremony location to Coe Hall-actually I had an appt to sign the contract tonight but rescheduled due to their insurance policy. It says that each vendor must carry 2,000,000 policy-but continues that its $1,000,000 for each occurence and $2,000,000 aggregate. I have no idea what this means. I was under the impression that most vendors carry a 1,000,000 policy and that this is usually standard. I do not want to book a ceremony site and then not be able to use the vendors i already have or be able to find any vendors for things I haven't yet booked with this high of a policy. If anyone has worked at Coe hall before and can help explain this to me, I would be very appreciative. Thank you!

Re: ceremony at Coe Hall?
Coe Hall is beautiful! I was there a while back and more recently there's a picture of Deb Viola on their website performing a ceremony there.
Was Deb Breen the woman who you dealt with? If so she's is a doll. Just tell her your concerns, then call your vendors and ask for the documentation that you need. I know it all sounds big and scary but it's not. It's just jargon and Deb is there to help you through it not hinder you. Besides you're just seeing what it takes to explore your options.
Wishing you the wedding of your dreams and the marriage of a lifetime!

Re: ceremony at Coe Hall?
Hi
We have performed at Coe Hall and in point of fact are performing there this month.
We maintain (As many full service, professional wedding vendors do) the insurance that is required by Coe Hall and have already had our insurance broker fax the certificate there for this up-coming wedding. This is also (having standard liability insurance as described to you by Coe Hall) what is required by many wedding venues and is required by many event sites including Old Westbury Gardens, many historical sites, and wedding venues/banquet halls. If you plan to reserve a professional vendor, he/she will have the necessary insurance that is required and this will not be an issue or a cloud in your sky in any way, shape or form! On the other hand, if you are looking to reserve vendors who are inexperienced, or who may not know all of what is required by a service provider, for performing wedding services this may be a problem. If you have your heart set on Coe Hall (it is gorgeous!) I would go for it and plan to be sure to inquire of each vendor as to whether he/she does have the insurance that is required, in order to work for you. I am certain that many many wonderful service providers whom you can find right here on liweddings.com do absolutely have the necessary insurance for Coe Hall.
I wish you all of the best for your most special day!
