Cocktail Reception Weddings?
I'm trying to help my best friend find some unique locations for a extended cocktail reception. The bride wants an elegant, yet not too formal reception venue, preferrably on the water w/an outdoor area, weather permitting.
No sit-down dinner or table service...just cocktails, buffet and passed hor's de vours for guests to enjoy as they dance/mingle.
Oh, and it must be an evening affair...she doesn't want an afternoon wedding.
Any suggestions?
I've already suggested the following places to her...Riverview in Oakdale, but they only offer Saturday afternoons; Snapper Inn in Oakdale (possible); Louis XVI (might be too $$$); Three Village Inn (not sure); Danfords (haven't checked it out yet).
