help with Ceremony

HI All

I have a problem with the ceremony location. Right now its set out my family's church. the church has a new minister whom I am not fond of and without going into details, I just found out that she has not been kind to my parents. I don't want this person to marry my FI and I, so I'm not sure what else to do. Having a different person perform the ceromony is not an option in this church. The reception hall is booked prior to our party. There is a small beach near the reception hall, so I'm thinking of having it there, the only problem is its early may and who knows what the weather will be. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Ouch, I'm so sorry you have to go through this but you are 100% right. No person who is not genuinely happy for you and nice to you and your family should ever be included in your wedding. (Kinda like setting places with a gravy spot on the white table cloth. It just takes away from the table) Can you go over this ministers head? And what town are you thinking? The local Town Hall will have a list of parks if you ask. Most you will not need a permit for small group but to reserve an area you will. If beach is your first choice a park with one of the large areas that they put picnic under as a back up may work. If it rains run the grooms men over there toss the tables outside pop up some bunches white baloons and wallah! Good luck and don't let 'em get you down it's your day, your game, ball, and court there fore your rules apply!

Hi,
Is there any way you can have it at your fiance's church? If not the beach will be a great alternative, even though its early May, the weather will probably be perfect, because its not too hot, and not too cold. Definitly check it out, and I would suggest getting a tent, so in case of inclement weather, you are still ok.
Hope this helps a little.
