Hi, I'm beginning my search for a photographer....
I would like to begin my search with vendors from this site. I am looking more for a photographer who is going to have a photojournalistic approach, I'm not very into posed pictures, although we would like a few. I want both black and white and color, and I would like to know if you've ever done a wedding at the Bourne Mansion (it does not make a huge difference, but I would like to see some sample pictures if you have). Please FM me with info that you think would be of help. Thank you in advance!

Hi,
Congratulations on your Engagement! And Happy Holidays. I'm a photographer located on Long Isaland. My name is Tom Baldassare my company is Thomas Paul Photography. www.thomaspaulphoto.com. I believe in photographing with emotion and feeling. I believe that is what makes a picture. Off course you do have to pose, however I like to make it fun for the bride and groom by having them forget that there are pictures being taken during the time the bride and groom are together for the first time. I am the only photographer and I facilitate every process of the photography for your wedding, so you will receive the best possible care and service. If you like you comtact me via e-mail at [email protected] or (631)-375-8226
Best Regards,
Thomas Paul Photography www.thomaspaulphoto.com

(Hi Tom! - welcome aboard!)
Yes, I've been doing the spontaneous style with two photographers (b+w and color, main + candid) and lots of pictures (averaging 1000) since 1989, way before the 'photojournalistic' phase.
We do all the posed family group/bridal party portraits in 15-30 minutes (if you even want them - another option is to simply walk around the cocktail hour and take pictures with those groups or individuals that you would like)
By working quickly, there's no heavy posing; just people enjoying themselves while they just happen to be looking @ the camera.
