Can any vendors help with a wedding ceremony location?

MY FH and I are getting married when visiting NYC from the UK in January. We have a minister arranged but not somewhere to get married, Far too cold in Central Park in January!

Our entire wedding party as 4/5 people so a traditional reception venue is out of the question both cost wise and size wise. Any vendors who have any ideas I would be very very grateful.

How about the top of the Empire State building?!! I think they actually have a chapel there. If you'd like, I'd be happy to look into it for you. My best, Laura-- LA Productions (631)473-0271 OR [email protected]

I'm actually marrying another UK couple at the top of the Empire State Building soon! There's a chapel in the UN that's beautiful. In a horse drawn carriage has been popular. Even right at the table in one of the more opulant spaces is an option. And although the metropolitan Museum of Art frowns upon it if you are quiet about the ceremony they don't notice. (I married a couple there who strolled by 3 of their favorite works of art and pointed out aspects the pieces posessed that were things they should remember to help their marriage thrive.) I have also married a couple on the circle line. This is such fun! Good luck! Let me know if I can be of any more assistance!

Re: Location

Hi. I'm an Interfaith Minister who officiates in NY City often for couples coming from out of the area. My best advise at this point is to ask at your hotel about using a suite or lounge area for an hour.
I have done weddings at the United Nations Chapel and at St. Paul's Chapel at Columbia University, but both are rather expensive for such a small party.
L.A.'s answer is something I checked out last year. The Empire State Bldg. allows weddings only on the top observation deck and only at 9:30 am before the tourists are allowed to go up. It's also quite expensive.
(If anyone comes up with a better suggestion than the hotel, I'd appreciate hearing about it).

Re: Location

Thanks for the useful suggestions. I think the only thing holding me up is being very nervous about the weather .. Idont want to be married outside if NYC is knee deep in snow!!

I have for the moment taken the hotel suggestion onboard and emailed them. We are only a couple of blocks away from Central Park so can always go there for pics afterwards...

However I am still open to suggestions !!

Thanks

Wendy
