Can anyone recommend a musician or small group that can play middle eastern music background music for a cocktail hour. I was thinking maybe one Au'd (that middle eastern string guitar) player and one or two other back up players. It would have to be tasteful and none of that music that accompanies belly dancers. Kind of like the background music (no vocals needed) one would hear at a good Middle Eastern restaurant. Not an easy thing to find. Please help. Thanks!!

Re: Middle Eastern Music for Cocktail Hour
The closest performers I can supply would be on Bouzouki (Greek instrument). For brides looking for something different I can supply Sitar and Tabla (Indian Music), Lute (Celtic-Irish Music) , and Steel Drums. I can also supply Celtic Harp music. I will shortly be adding information on my website regarding Sitar and Tabla, Lute, Bluegrass Band. I am currently building these new websites- they will have photos and information. As of now the above can be heard on cassette tape. The Bouzouki can be seen on video. I try to create a unique ambience for a bride for her ****tail hour-with her approval. At each wedding that I provide the music for -I want the guests to have a great time but also to say - this was not like evey other wedding I went to. It was unique and elegant. Elegance- Sophistication-Satisfaction. STAN WIEST A.STAN WIEST MUSIC http://www.stanwiest.com Recomended by New York Magazine
