Re: Montauk getway quotes
I am not a travel agent, but, I go to Montauk every year and the 'Royal Atlantic Beach Resort' is very nice - especially if you get a beach front room....very romantic. You can also walk to town and some bars and resteraunts from there as well.
Just my thoughts...good luck

Re: Montauk getway quotes
Last summer, we stayed at a lovely resort called, Panoramic View. It is located next to Gurney's. The rooms are large with kitchens. Some are two room suites. They do not book with Travel Agents, so I suggest you check out their website. There is no restaurant on site, but you can walk to Gurney's. Many of the rooms are located on the hill and it is a long walk to the beach, but the views are well worth it. Marie

Re: Montauk getway quotes
I too am no travel agent but I do a lot of work during the year at Gurney's Inn. Besides the great ocean front views, they were recently rated 'Best of the Best' in many categories including: Best Spa, Health Club & Masseuse Best Waterfront Restaurant Best Wedding Location Best Hotel Bar They're not cheap though. Tell them Des & Linda sent you. That usually doesn't mean anything (lol) but you never know. . . Good Luck, ...Des

Re: Montauk getway quotes
I am also a big fan of Montauk. The best place I have stayed at was the Royal Atlantic. I went to a wedding that was held at Gurney's the food was great and the place is really nice. Also the Beach Plum Inn is very nice its about a mile from Gurney's. Most recent stay was at Wave Crest Inn...it was ok. I have been going to Montauk for many years please feel free to forum mail me with any questions. Have fun!
If you are looking for a romantic getaway in the Montauk area I have a place that is a gem The name of the place is the Gansett Green Manor they are exclusive hideaway cottages set on 2 acres right on edge of town in Amagansett (which is only a couple of miles west of Montauk) the grounds are beautiful and the service is fantastic you have rights to the beach which is just down the street but you also are walking distance to the quaint little town with antique shops and restaurants. They also have a honeymoon hideaway. The owners name is Gary and the Manager's name is Mandi. You may use my name if you like. If you would like further info feel free to e-mail me. Best of luck. Gina
