MUSIC FOR CEREMONY?

I'm considering having musicians (vs. DJ) to play beautiful wedding music during our 1/2 hour wedding ceremony at the Swan Club.

2-3 musicians (i.e. string quartet and/or some 'brass' would be nice!)

Reasonable of course!

Thank you.....

Hi Leslie -

Your request is right up our alley! Ensemble Champlain specializes in small chamber ensembles for intimate weddings.

Our core group is a flute/cello duo, and we can expand to a flute/violin/cello trio and beyond, to fit every couple's needs.

Please check your forum mail for some more info, and feel free to give me a call if you have any questions!

Thanks

Re: MUSIC FOR CEREMONY?

Greetings Leslie,

We can provide flute, guitar and bass, or just flute and guitar, if you like. We have amplification for all three instruments.

Our repertoire includes lighter classical pieces (Bach's Air on the G String, Pachebel's Canon, Vivaldi, Charles Koechlin, Handel, etc.) but we also play jazz, folk, pop, traditional Jewish or Irish melodies or our original melodies. Recent additions to our repertoire have included a theme from the movie, the Return of the King; Erev Shel Shoshanim; and our version of Jimmy Cliff's 'I Can See Clearly Now.'

If you think you might be interested in us, kindly send email to [email protected], or call me at 917 365 0876. (I always forget to check Forum Mail!)

Thank you for your consideration,

Peace&music

I can provide a wide array of choices for your ceremony. If you go to my main website

www.stanwiest.com

about halfway down the page is a section on
SPECIALTY MUSIC

It lists all the possible combinations. I also have a CD that has samples of the different combinations available. If you send me your name and address and mention this post on liweddings.com I will be happy to send you a CD.

Re: MUSIC FOR CEREMONY?

Hi Leslie, I'm house harpist over at the Swan Club, so if you want live music with a harp, we should talk. All the Trunzes (the Swan Club owners) know me well, as do Dan, Barbara... even the latinos who work behind the scenes (because I speak Spanish to them all the time).

OK, I'm riffing on this, it's just that they're all my good buddies there. I hope you are finding them all to be as nice people as I know them to be. Drop my name over there and I'm sure they'll put in a good word for me.

Anyways, if you want to explore having me play the harp for your ceremony -- either solo or in ensemble with flute, cello, trumpet... -- please visit my website at

www.nyharpist.com

and be sure to listen to the sound clips there. If you are interested, call me to discuss rates and availability at

516-671-4519.

I'll be delighted to talk with you about it.

I hope you are enjoying planning your wedding!

Regards,

Janet
