I am looking for a photographer who could do family shots, in the photojournalitic style. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Not to expensive either

Mark Kauffman is great, not cheap though. I have NO idea what he would charge for family shots but it cannot hurt to ask him.

I met my wedding photographer when he took pics of my family, so I know he does it for a pretty reasonable price. Laurie Studio in St. James. Ken is the photographer that I dealt with. We had portraits done, but he has a photojournalist who works with him. I have heard that she is fabulous.

lili - we are using jack roman www.jackroman.com or org maybe....
He only shoots photojournalistic - black and white only. I don't want to post his rate, but he's very reasonable. Let me know if you need more details!

Any professional photographer should be able to do spontaneous family portraits. Just like anything else, you would need to shop for the style and personality and quality and price that appeals to you.
We have an hourly rate for on location portraiture (or anything else) or of course at the studio (inside or outside) for a portrait 'sitting' (or session) without the travel time.
