we are looking for a caterer that will come to our location rather than on their site. Can you help me begin my search? I dont even know where to start! We aren't even sure of what type of menu we want to do yet, nothing too fancy. I guess we need to see whats out there and available before we decide. It would be for a Eastern Suffolk County Location.

The best I've come across is Elegant Eating. I'm not sure of the phone number or the rates, but check the phone book. They offer many different options, and definitely gourmet!

Hi the first one that comes to mind that has everything,is scalfani catering in setauket.Starting with great food they also have chair rentals ,tents,waiters,etc.Look in the yellow pages there listed.Hope i could be of some help.Good Luck in planning.Glen!! [email protected]

For Eastern Suffolk, the Hamptons have many many caterers who come on site. If you can't find a local one in your local Yellow Books or papers (Dan's Papers or Easthampton Star) then most restaurants do off site catering.
In Central North Suffolk, try Moore's in Port Jeff, Strawberry Fields in Stony Brook, or Elegant Eating in Smithtown/Hauppauge (rte. 347) or again, simply try your favorite restaurant (or deli or gourmet food store/deli, depending on how much you want to spend.)
