Our response

Our response

As with every story there are two sides. I want to thank our brides who contacted us about this situation. I want to begin by saying that there was a situation with a bride, however as this bride did not post this information or notified me of her recent disatisfaction., I will keep this response as short as possible out of respect for her.
As far as us changing photographers for this event, we did, however this combination of faults. We unfortunately wrote the wrong date on her contract, and this was picked up at one of her later meetings at which time it was obviously too late because Steve was already assigned to an affair. She was not surprised when Marc (the other photographer) showed up. She knew in advance, let our office staff know her needs for the day. As far as the complaints as with any client, they were taken care of immediately and to the clients satisfaction. I would also like to say that more than 3/4 of the photos that the bride in question used for her album are also being made to display in our studio as samples. I think it is important to note here the bride is not posting any of this and this is 2nd hand info (no offense intended). I do also agree with the bride's who posted about the client's profile. This is now being checked by several sources to confirm identity. I thank those who have come to support and who have notified me of this. Thanks again
Doug

Re: Our response

Good to hear both sides of the story.

One more point: Is it true that your photographer didn't get a clear shot of the kiss at her ceremony?

Re: Our response

My cousin is the infamous 'Laura'. Although I have not seen her pictures yet, I take her word for it considering I used Patken March 2001, and was and still remain very unhappy. If I had known they were to be her photographers I would have tried to stop her. My day cannot be remembered the way I had planned because my 'contracted photographer' did not show up on the day either. I got a very inexperienced man who totally ignored every request I made, although he did manage to take pictures I specifically asked him not to. I always dreamed of a winter wedding with a light snow in the background, he out and out refused to take pictures in the snow. After I received my proofs and expressed my unhappiness I was given the same story as 'Laura', I was told my pictures would be hanging in the studio also, they never were. I could continue but what would be the point, I think you should take responsibility for your employees and stop blaming all the brides.

Re: Our response

Why was the bride side posting locked when he is admitting there was a problem?

Re: Our response

Okay. Fine. Some of the info is second hand but honestly a lot of us post info that is second hand. If I know that one of my friends had a band at her wedding and I post a positive review, the post is not locked!
I am not saying Patken is 'bad' or anything. Jennbaby's photos are beautiful BUT the post should not be locked because it is a negative review. I am sure if the girl posted 'My friend loves her Patken wedding photos' no one would have shut it down.

Re: Our response

I agree thet shouldnt lock negative posts but they do get out of hand sometimes.
I feel bad for the girl whos pics got ruined.
Michele-Thanks for the compliments on my photos!

Re: Our response

They locked the Patken post on the Bride side due to the fact that there was more than one user with the same IP address which means one computer has more than one identity on the board (i.e. 3 brides are using the same computer or one bride is using 3 names). IP addresses are unique to each computer and I guess this was a concern.
