Photo/Video Dilemma

Hello Vendors,

My Fi and I booked a company to do our photo/video last year. Included in our package was a complimentary engagement shoot. Ive tried on multiple occasions to book our shoot and for one reason or another we had to reschedule or he cancelled. Ive tried contacting him via phone or email and Ill be told that he will call me back or he wont answer the emails. Im starting to get a little concerned. Here is my dilemma. I gave him a cash deposit that I really cant afford to lose and he gave me a PHENOMENAL price for the package that were getting. Fi and I also really liked him as a person and this is no attack on him, just that I am very concerned about his lack of communication. Can any of you give me some advice as to how to handle this situation? Id really appreciate it.

Photo/Video Dilemma

Did that company have you sign a contract stating that you gave him cash as a deposit? Also, is there any cancelation fee/ rules in the contract?
