photographers tip

photographers tip

I used weddinggroupone for photography at my wedding and in the contract they apply a 10% service charge. Well that came out to $500.00. We really liked the photographers we worked with that day and at the end of the night we felt bad not tipping them. It's just that we couldn't afford to tip on top of the service charge they imcluded. Sometimes I wish the tip wasn't included so I would'nt have felt so bad!

Good point. 10% service charge is a good idea and would solve some of my gratuity delemmas and discomforts (except for what you mentioned), but my 'packages' range from $1600 to $5975 and does not reflect on the work of the photographers who are going to do the same job no matter what is ordered in the package (which always changes after the wedding anyway. Since I encourage my customers to take it one step at a time and just do wedding day photography, why should the photographers be penalized in the percentage if albums are not yet included?) The honor system I use speaks to your situation, but not to those who might forget in the excitement/craziness of the day (or end of evening.)

An uncomfortable situation that is difficult to solve and it is the people working hard who tend to suffer the most.
