Photos & Video inside the church

So, I just recently read thru the paper that my church (St. Hugh of Lincoln in Huntington) gave me to give to whatever photographer and videographer that I hire... and their list of restrictions is huge! I did speak to one photographer who told me that he has done weddings there and due to the fact that they can't even move around during the ceremony, the pics will not come out well. I want to get married in this church, it's been my church my entire life, but naturally, I also want great pics! Is there any photographers out there who have done weddings at St. Hugh and can guarantee me that the pics will be good? I'm really upset about this. Help! :)

Hi Marisa,

I have not shot in your church and have not seen the list of restrictions. Most churches that give out those restrictions have seen alot of rude and disrespectful photographers. I have gotten restriction notices and then spoken to the priest the day of the ceremony and gotten a less restrictive version verbally. This may not be the case at your church.

Your photographs should not be bad no matter what. Your photographer should be able to produce good photographs in any case. They will need the proper lenses and a tripod. I can not see any reason that your photographs should be bad.

If you are really worried about it, find a local Huntington photographer who has shot there and ask if they can show you specific examples of a St. Hugh ceremony.

Good luck with all of your plans. Don't settle for bad photographs!
