Ok so I ordered the extra material for my very pregnant matron of honor. Can anyone tell me that seamstresses can work miracles??? Times like this I wish my grandmother (who was a dressmaker) was still alive.

Yes I have a seamstress but before we go there one important point that I want to note is that pregnant women have a thing where if they stand in the same position for too long they are prone to passing out. So please encourage your MOH to move about, fix your dress, touch up your veil, supply a handkerchief and anything else that you can think of to keep her inconspicuously shifting positions. Keeping a chair handy is also a good idea as is telling her if she feels faint that it's ok to go and sit. I had one hit the deck on me once, fortunately the Groom had the presence of mind to catch her and nobody was hurt.
Now on to the dress!
I use this old Polish woman in Lindenhurst for all my stuff and my brides that have used her have all been pleased. The only drawback is that her English is poor. I have never had a problem though. She uses her daughter to translate and her work is high quality.

I have been a pregnant bridesmaid before and very pregnant still growing. As long as the dress is loose fitting the seamstress should have no problem creating a nice fitting -with room to grow -gown for the pregnant bridesmaid. Believe me they come into this problem more often than you think. I actually kept the gown to use for another outfit, seemed like a waste for all that fabric to be tossed.
