Priest/officiant

My Oct 7, 2006 ceremony is going to be held at Coral House, not a church. I am Catholic. My FH's father is Jewish, but his mom is Catholic and he was raised Catholic (baptized and received communion, but was never confirmed). He lives in MD, so we wouldnt have been able to do the Pre-Cana classes with our schedule and getting married at our hall is fine by us.

Now I'm looking for an officiant though.... I've heard that a Catholic priest won't marry people outside the church. Is that true? If not, any recommendations?

If no recommendations for a Catholic priest, than a non-denominational minister? We either want someone who's Catholic or who holds no affiliation and will let us bring in Catholic parts to our ceremony when we write it. Please help!

Oh, another important question -- if we arent married by a Catholic priest or in a church, is it still the same as years ago that your children cannot be baptized???

I understand that some couples would rather have a man marry them and although there are some beautiful samples on my website of the kind of ceremonies that I do, it still doesn't work if you are looking for a Catholic Priest to have a woman. However I can offer some insight to your other question! The Roman Catholic Church does what it calls a 'convalidation'. One of my Brides who had it done had said it was $100.00 and her new parish was very welcoming.
