Hi, I am having my wedding August 14 2009 and I wanted to have the black magic roses, or any black magic colored flowers I can in that matter, but I spoke with a florist who told me it is very, very hard to get those colors in August, can someone please tell me if this is true and if so could you please tell me what kind of flowers are in that month and inexpensive? thank you so much.

I have never personally had the experience that the Black Magic rose or similarly colored callas are difficult to get in August and I have already 'officially' confirmed at least some year 'round availability. Certainly all flowers are subject to extreme weather irregularities (floods, hurricanes, etc.) and general market availability, but I would certainly not expect any particular issues for you in mid August with these varieties. With 18 years or so experience doing weddings, I would not have thought twice about 'allowing' you to have them, had you asked me. Please call if you would like to discuss it further--
