Question for makeup artists re: allergic reaction to eyeshadow
I'm very concerned over something I've noticed lately. I've been using the same MAC eyeshadow since November, but this only started in January. I thought it had something to do with wintery dry skin, but now I see a pattern....
When I wear my eyeshadow, I wake up the next day with very puffy, red eyelids. Sometimes the skin gets so irritated it feels like it's been burned a little. It gets very dry and red. I stopped wearing eyeshadow altogether for quite a while, then I used new makeup brushes but keep the same eyeshadow, and I STILL had the same reaction. I haven't tried a different brand of eyeshadow yet.
Why would I suddenly have this reaction to makeup I had been using for a few months? Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening when I wear any brand of eyeshadow?
