Re: Reception Halls
Hi Cathie! I know that most places offer discounted rates if you are married on a Friday or Sunday, especially if you have a daytime wedding. As far as all the places you've listed I know some of them, so I put a comment next to the ones I know of personally. I would imagine a great source of info would be Stan Weist. He's a vendor on the board who seems to know everything and anything about LI's catering halls. Right, Stan?
Villa Lombardi's-delicious food. Woodbury Country Club- had my wedding there 5-years ago, loved it- food delic, scenery beautiful, staff very accomodating... Jericho Terrace- I know about Floral Terrace, went to a wed there last year, it was fabulous. Great food, great staff... Flower Field- I've heard it's awesome Majestic Gardens- very pretty Windows On The Lake-heard the food is good, prices are reasonable. *Also just went to a wedding in June at Vineyard Caterers- that was incredible. Just beautiful inside & out. Food excellent...
Good luck w/ your search. And most importantly have a fun time with all this!! Best of luck, Laura--LA Productions (631)473-0271 [email protected]

Re: Reception Halls
Dear Cathie, My office is recommended for music by the Jericho Terrace. They do a beautiful wedding. Every performer from my office loves the relaxed but professional atmosphere there. Contact GINA -the party consultant at The Jericho Terrace. She is a delight to work with and can help you with your needs. As a side note - I was at the Jericho Terrace Tonight for a Bridal Show- and I met several brides who mentioned that they read my posts on liweddings.com. I just wanted to say it was a pleasure to personally meet and speak with you tonight. It makes these posts more personal.

Re: Reception Halls
Hi CathieH,
Nice list of halls!
Here are my favorites. Some are much more expensive than others. I would check out the pricing.
Flowerfields (I love) East Wind Bridgeview Yacht Club (Nice, did a couple of weddings there) Villa Lombardi's (Great food, nice place)
You should also check out these places: Lands End The Metropolitian (Go inside, don't judge but the outside) It's in Glen Cove. Dowling (Oakdale)
You should go and see them all and eliminate the ones you don't like. It also depends on the time of year and the day. So you may be able to play with that.
Good Luck! Marie
