Recording a song / Making CDs for Wedding

Hi everyone! My FH owns and operates a recording studio in Albertson and he is always looking for work. If you are interested in recording a full song, or disc printing and duplicating (printing images and text onto CD without a label).

Feel free to contact him whenever you want! His contact info is at the bottom. This is not his full time job and it's really a hobby for him, but I've seen a bunch of girls posting about wanting to record songs and I wanted to help out!

Spikey Jay Recording/Mixing Rates

Two Scenarios (#2 has two separate bullet points)

1st Option:
If the instrumental backing track is provided by the client (a stereo version), where only the vocals need to be recorded:
- $20 / hour to record vocals
- $150 / song to create the final mix (editing vocals, mixing them into the track, and optimizing levels).
- Spikey Jay recording credit must be noted on all physical copies distributed

2nd Option:
If all music (instruments and vocals) need to be recorded, mixed, and mastered:
a) If client needs me to help them write song (music and/or lyrics)
- I will request to share in publishing ownership with them; % of ownership will depend upon of each of our contributions
- Client can use song at wedding, or give out to guests, friends, or for any promotional (free) purposes whenever
- If song is ever released on physical (CD) or digital format, and client makes any profit off of track, we will split royalties based on our %.
- $20 / hour to record vocals
- $500 to create instrumental, and mix/master the entire track with vocals
- Spikey Jay recording credit must be noted on all physical copies distributed (whether promotional, or for profit)

b) If the music and lyrics are already written by client, or it is already a pre-existing song
- $20 / hour to record vocals
- $500 to create instrumental, and mix/master the entire track with vocals
- Spikey Jay recording credit must be noted on all physical copies distributed

Let me know if any questions or for any clarification.

Thanks.
