Repost from NWR, I hope this isn't inappropriate.
I've been working in marketing for 4 years now and desperately want to get out. Up until recently, I never really knew exactly what I want to do; I've just been working to get a paycheck.During the last 9 months of my wedding planning, I've come to realize that I would love to work in the wedding industry. To have a career in something that actually interests me, something that I am passionate about, something that would result in making brides and grooms as happy as I feel right now, would be a dream come true.
To what capacity, I am not sure of. Something that would require me to use my creativity, my client/customer service experience, and my knowledge of all things wedding related. I guess the reason for my post is to see if anyone knows of any job openings on Long Island, or how I might go about finding openings. There aren't any wedding industry related positions on Monster, and I don't know of any head hunters who specialize in this sort of thing.
I hope I don't sound too silly or that my dream is wishful thinking. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all!

There are those who believe that if you love what you do you will be successfull. Personally I eat sleep and breathe the words to fit my couples and wouldn't trade it for anything. (even thought having a congregation and ministering means you do the hard things in life with people too)I wish you well and hope to see you on this side of the boards soon!
