Re: still having issues finding an officiant
The only ceremonies that truly only take 20 minutes of time are the ones where the couple comes to the officiant. There is always prep time, reading someone else's words is in may ways harder than writing it from scratch. Showing up early enough to make sure that we're not stuck in traffic, not scheduling anyone so close behind that if you run 20 minutes late that we don't have to leave without marrying you is also an important consideration.
7/7/07 is a very popular day, for a professional officiant to commit to you, they will be turning down other couples and even on a slow day they should be paid for their time.
Now from your posts it doesn't really sound like you want a professional. So who among your friends and family is good at public speaking? Are you having a DJ? Will he read what you have written? There are a lot of teachers on the board, have you asked the LIW Brides? (they rock!)
Once again, good Luck!

Re: still having issues finding an officiant
HiWe just performed at a wedding ceremony this weekend with Pastor April and she is excellent!
I agree wholeheartedly with April that 7/07/07 is a very popular date for wedding ceremonies!
There are many fine officiants recommended here and advertised here on liweddings/nycityweddings.com.
Another officiant whom we highly recommend is Omar Lopez of Marriage NYC.
Good Luck
