I'm interested in having thank you pictures printed. I would go to a place like Genovese/CVS, but the quality is just not the same as a professional photo lab. Plus I think the wallets at these places look smaller and you can only get a glossy finish.
The average thank you pic I’ve seen is 3 ½ x 2 ½ (matte). Would anyone know where I can have these printed and approximately how much the cost would be?

Have you asked your photographer to help you with the Thank You cards?
Many people make wallet size or 4x6 size photos, which they then insert in ready-made Thank you cards that include envelopes.
There's a place in NYC called E.Pix Photo Digital, 315 7th Ave (near 28th St) 646-638-4455 -- they're open to the general public. Ask for Pat. He can help you with a photo card (4x8) that is in the style of a Xmas card with your name printed on it.
The advantage to having your photographer do it, is that he/she can design your card in Photoshop or order Thank Cards with a slot to insert your photo. Professional photographers have access to many vendors that aren't open to the general public.
