Re: Tipping question

hi my name is manny from the limo point of view in general a 20% gratuities is added to a contract which covers the drivers tip but, generally people tend to give them a bit extra when the service is above their expectation........
a tip is always earned by the way that the drivers perform their job.

Re: Tipping question

I don't suggest a percentage for photography since the 'packages' can vary so much having nothing to do with the photographers and their work at the wedding.

I have a suggested gratuity sheet that I give out, if you want me to send it to you privately.

Re: Tipping question

As the owner of the company I do not expect to receive a gratuity. I would much rather prefer a letter of recommendation from a satisfied client for use as a future reference. I find that many clients are uncomfortable with a gratuity for the owner of a company. This is strictly my personal view and I am not speaking for any other vendors.

Yes, of course I agree with Stan 'bout not tipping the owner.

Re: Tipping question

Just speaking for us, our staff is usually tipped. We do not add any gratuity into the overall contract amount, and the tip is totally at your discretion. With the regards to tipping the owners, I myself have been tipped on countless occassions by very happy clients, this is not necesarry at all, but with some clients not accepting a tip would be like sitting at grandma's kitchen table and not having anything to eat !
I as an owner would rather a nice letter that I could use as a future reference... for my staff their usual tips are coming in between 50-100 per staff member on the job.

Hope this is of some help
