We are getting married in April. I absolutely love tulips and would love to have very simple bouquets of tulips and have tulips as the center pieces too. Is this doable? I am worried that they are too fragile a flower to have as my bouquet (the petals might open up too much and then start falling off??!!). is there a way to have them? Have you ever seen it and does it look okay? We are going for simple yet elegant (i was thinking white tulips).
How about center pieces? I know this sounds silly, but i would really like to have potted tulips (or at least the ones with bulbs on them) so that people could take them home and plant them and think of us! Is there a way to do this and still be classy and elegant. I don't want to look like our reception ballroom is really the nursery section at Home Depot!

Re: Tulips?
If you want tulips you can have tulips, that is the perfect time of year for them!
There are elegant classy ways to do them if you want the plant, you should discuss with the floral designer as to picking a container to put them in. If you have more money for a budget, consider clustering them in bunches in a clear glass bubble bowl. Used in quantity, gives a very elegant look.
