Tulips in June?

I need some facts on having Tulips in June. I am able to get the Tulips in beginning of June. But how well do they hold up in NY weather? I was thinking of spraying some floral mist to stop them from opening too much. I also read that dipping them in egg white stops them from opening.

Please Advise. Thanks.
